iPhone Review: Super Monkey Ball 2 | The Portable Gamer

TPG writes: "For ten bucks you are getting as close to the console version as any other portable version I've seen, and with the simplified level layouts and somewhat improved control, you can actually play SMB2 with some patience and practice. If you are a big fan and felt burned on the first go round, give this one a shot. The first SMB did not help this game's rep, but SMB2 goes a long way to redeem it."

another monkey ball game? already?

It's actually been like a year and a half between entries. We've seen 2 new geoDefense games this year alone, and a ton of Toy Bot games. I'm fine with this.

Monkeys in gerbil balls. That's entertainment!

I love Monkey Ball games - I think I've had one on every cell phone I've owned in the past eight years or so.

Why not port RE4 remake to meta quest 3?

Profchaos53d ago

Because the headset isn't capable of running it simply put it's not powerful enough.

Look at metro awakening on quest 3 that's pushing it to its extreme and it's quite far behind PC and PS for graphical capabilities.

Profchaos53d ago

Wow I thought they would abandon this as the sales for village and 4 were abysmal

JEECE53d ago

For whatever reason and despite all evidence to the contrary, their are some companies bent on convincing themselves and others that people want to play premium games on Apple devices.

VersusDMC53d ago

It's assumed apple is paying for the ports. Apple probably paid a lump sum for all the RE games so capcom is just finishing up the contract.

Or maybe Capcom sees this as port practice for the switch 2 or these ports are what the switch 2 versions will be?
