I've played gears and it was a nice game but not at all what I thought from all the hype talk. Outside of that.. what do I need a 360 for after playing gears on someone else's 360? Mass Effect doesn't interest me like it once did after seeing WRPG games like Demon Souls & Brink. Fable is not at all my type of game, Forza.. ok, I'll just leave this one be, Viva Pinata is way too kiddy for me, Banjo Kazooie is not remotely interesting to me (see Viva Pinata) so... what?

Splinter Cell and Mass Effect are timed exclusives and will be on the PS3 later next year so I can decide to either rent them or forget about them if there are exclusives I haven't gotten round to yet.. soooo, why would need to clog up my home with stuff I already know is going to crap out on me.

If Mikkey Ds is giving away a 360 with the order of a happy meal then I'd consider it but still... what the hell would I do with it?

I think an instore warranty will work, so in a worse case scenario if you refurb fails you can get a new arcade with the Jasper chipset in it

I don't know that Best Buy will allow a warranty on these. I think they know exactly how risky a business move that would be. Heck, if you look at the article they won't even allow you to get Reward Zone points for buying one.

And I would think there is no way Microsoft would provide a warranty for these either. Isn't their warranty only good for the original buyer (nontransferable)?

On amazon the PS3 slim costs 239 euro.

YOu can get in germany a SLIm for a price of a PS2.

I wouldnt touch refurb or used 360 with a 10ft pole i was thinkin bout geting a used 360 back in august but rembered the newer models have the jasper units wich is my arcade model plus they come with a HDMI port.

who cares if it's a 20 gig console? Have any of you bothered to hook up an external hard drive? I have a 560 gig harddirve attached to mine..

But yeah, without the HDMI port, I don't find it personally appealing. But then again, I have tons of friends who play on a regular tv so it wouldn't matter to them either way.

no, don't fall for it. The old model is a piece of crap. I don't know how many time it break down on me that i end up turning it in (lucky i have the extra coverage at micro center) and got an arcade instead. Just get the new model (it is a lot more reliable) and spare yourself the anger and frustration later on.

jeez, and here i thought I got a really good deal for a brand new pro x360 model at $200 back in 2007 at micro center. What a waste.

i've got an old pro and it died once, got it repaired for free since it was in warrenty.

my ps3 also lasted around the same time (about 2 years) but when that broke i had to go buy a new 1...

so for $100 thats a steal, and even if it does break you will be in warrenty. then wen ur warrenty runs out and u do need to buy another, all models out at the time should be much much more quality
