So this one's a mess. If you're a member of the casual audience Hudson's trying to reach with this game and My Aquarium before it, just stick with My Aquarium -- at least it makes sense. This one's a zoo that's better left unvisited.

MyWii writes: "A successor to the virtual fish game My Aquarium, My Zoo is an animal sim that lets you raise different zoo animals. You start off with eight different animals including lions, pandas, bears, koalas and elephants. Four more animals are available through DLC at an additional charge."
To Hudson's credit, they have included a decent amount of animals, with an elephant, zebra, (mutant) hippopotamus, lion, bear, tapir and panda; but it just seems pointless when they all act exactly the same. Put the Wii Remote down and they'll sleep the whole day – maybe getting up to yawn every now and then, have an enormous bowel movement and go straight back to sleep in it. Who needs blankets anyway. Additional animals can also be purchased for 100 Points each (all DLC was free in My Aquarium), including a koala which will be made available early 2010. Exciting!
Stick with My Aquarium. Unless you have a serious thing for faeces, My Zoo is a complete failure.
From the review:
"Many WiiWare veterans may know JV Games as a developer with a reputation for making majorly unwanted games with exclamation points in their titles. So, when Christmas Clix! arrived on the scene, these same people probably didn't give it a second thought. And for the most part, such a reaction is justified. As the name implies, this is a Christmas-themed game. It is most likely a chance to cash in on the holidays, but it actually works quite well with the gameplay. Santa Claus stands off to the side, throwing presents into the playing field where you then match said presents in a color-coded fashion by clicking one end/corner and then clicking the opposite end/corner. Much like Tetris and the like, presents fall down onto the screen and you have to clear them before they can reach the top. While doing this, you can collect candy canes and coins. As you progress through each level, a Christmas tree is gradually decorated, and once all of the decorations are in place, you may progress to the next level and do it all over again."
great read as always, although it seems the games werent very good this week
Monkey Island was the only game that would remotely interest me on that last. Good read though. Keep up the good work!
