Have a shelf full of finished games you no longer play? Consider donating them to a good cause: fighting rare and deadly childhood diseases.
Jim Carol founded Donate Games after his own son and video game enthusiast, Taylor Carol survived a a long battle with an "orphan disease" -- a rare, devastating class of diseases such as Progeria, Rett Syndrome, and Chordoma.
Donate Games is a volunteer-based charity that accepts used game donations. Donated games are then sold through the Donate Games online store and the proceeds are used to help support research for orphan diseases. Because orphan diseases are so rare and poorly understood, there is very little funding for researching methods of treating or curing them.
