Gran Turismo 5 no question.
Deformation damage.
WRC
NASCAR
950 cars
I mean come on.

GamerReport5675d ago

You listed games we have all seen before. GT5 is just like PGR, just like Forza, etc. How many realistic racing sims and rally racing games do we really need? It gets old after a while.

Saaking5674d ago (Edited 5674d ago )

Is this serious? That's a bunch of multiplats. Where's all the glorious PS3 exclusives like GT5, GOWIII, WKC, MAG, Heavy Rain, Modnation Racers (I think it's early 2010) etc?.

He put the 360's one exclusive there but where's all the PS3?

MurderMyDoll5674d ago

Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne 3 are spot on, most anticipated games of 2010, picking them up on PS3. I think next years gonna be my multiplatform year, out of all confirmed 2010 PS3 exclusives I'm not terribly interested in any of them.

BlackTar1875674d ago

are you the same notorious PS3 hater?

Imtey5674d ago (Edited 5674d ago )

If you think that Max Payne 3 and Blur are gonna impact the industry more than GT5 and GOW3 and Heavy Rain, have a facepalm from me.
Your welcome

raztad5674d ago (Edited 5674d ago )

There is no question, the author of this article is a xbox only owner.

How can you put in that list Dantes Inferno (a Gow2 ripoff) and forget about GoW3.

Article should be renamed to "Top games to make an impact in 2010 on the XBOX360" and remove the PS3 tag.

Saaking5674d ago

Yep, when you see someone listing a bunch of multiplats, you know they're 360 biased.

HolyOrangeCows5674d ago (Edited 5674d ago )

A-HEM!
Dante's Inferno is a multiplat game.

I think it's obvious why this list is missing the PS3 exclusives; it's a 360-centric site.

sikbeta5674d ago

·GOW III
·HEAVY RAIN
·MAG, not for being a FPS (DO'H!), just 256 players at once is GREAT
·Gran Turismo always DELIVER

Saaking5674d ago

What's sad is that Dante's Inferno is also for PS3 owners so why treat it like it's only on 360? Besides, from gameplay vids it looks like they literally are copy and pasting GOW.

Asari Consort5674d ago (Edited 5674d ago )

It's not surprising PS3 fanboys only list PS3 games.

I agree with the list all these games look epic, fun, fresh, new.

PS3 fanboys seem to have read too much into this. No one said biggest impact in 2010. I agree these games are not known to be super hyped and will make an impact, making names for themselves.

1.10 he could have just as easily said a number of 360 games if that were true.

Hanif-8765674d ago (Edited 5674d ago )

I'm quite sure the title should be "THE MOST UNNOTICED GAMES OF 2010"!
Where is:

Gran Turismo 5 (#1 must buy)
Battlefield Bad Company 2 (Best FPS ever, i'm in the beta)
Halo Reach (I'm a huge Halo fan Halo 1,2 and 3 ODST is crap!)
Agent (Its "Rockstar North" so its good)
God Of War 3
Heavy Rain( MUST BUY)
Final Fantasy XIII
MAG (I'm getting BFBC2 instead)

bpac1234567895674d ago

was this suppose to be a list of the biggest games of 2010 because if it was then its pathetic.

rockleex5673d ago

You forgot to list:

Race track creator/editor
Day/Night/Weather cycle
Over 1,000 cars (not 900 like you said)
Over 65 unique track locations, unlike Forza 3's mere 20 unique tracks
Fully detailed car interiors, unlike Forza 3's low polygon, no texture interiors
Etc.

gareno5675d ago

terrible list imo
games that will make an impact:
heavy rain
alan wake
gran turismo 5
halo reach
MAG

GamerReport5675d ago

Obviously not that terrible if I listed Alan Wake just as you did. I should have mentioned Heavy Rain, that will be a good one too. I really enjoyed Indingo Prophecy. This post is obviously going to be touchy depending on your level of fanboyism.

We don't even know what Halo: Reach is yet, so how could it be on my list? Just because it's Halo?

BlackTar1875674d ago

you put your opinion out there expect people to fire back etc. you seem like you didn't expect people to say your list is garbage which i wont but you didn't name any real games per that title except alan wake and yet no one knows anything about it whatsoever except what it may be like. but man you chastise the guy on your site for laughing at your list and this guy.

hey news flash you think your opinion is important enough to blog or whatever about it dont be so nancy when people go agansit it. common internet rules.

Troll_Police5674d ago

Heavy Rain
The Last Guardian
God of War III
Gran Turismo 5
Agent
MAG

Those are the only games that will make an impact in 2010.

shutupandplay5674d ago

You forgot one:
-Mass Effect 2
-Fable 3
-Halo: Reach
-Splinter Cell Conviction
-Alan Wake

kaveti66165674d ago

Wow, I find it so ironic that PS3 fanboys call out other fanboys. You guys are hypocrites.

I'm not really into the whole "my console is better than your console" thing, since I own both and like both.

But I will say this, the biggest selling games of 2010 are going to be Gran Turismo 5 and Halo Reach. The sales of those two games combines will exceed the sales of any other high-profile game in 2010. I guarantee it.

cmrbe5674d ago

Is this a joke?.

GT5 will own all.

GamerReport5674d ago

That remains to be seen. Forza 3 holds the crown right now my friend. Will be pretty hard to beat it.

cmrbe5674d ago

LMAO!!!. Froza is for gamers that don't know anything about real cars.

bjornbear5674d ago

forza 3 has the crown because its keeping racing fans busy until GT5 comes out.

once GT5 is released..well...all I say is it might be the best selling game in '10

To miss GT5 from that list is fine, but to show WHY you omited it from that list is sad.

rextyrann5674d ago

i dont even think that you can compare forza3 to GT5!

GT5 is on a whole other league. im not saying it will be better or more real than forza as a racing game sine we are talking about the impact it might have and not the quality. everyone who did play console games on past gen consoles KNOWS GT. and it doesnt even matter which those pple played as core games. heck i usually HATE racing games EXCEPT of GT. ive played the old versions and i look forward what GT5 will deliver.

not having GT5 as a game which will make an impact but instead blur is just ridculous. you obviously have no idea how many people are awaiting and anticipating that GT5 is finally released...

srsly the article about GT extend times is so true: GT was made from the perspective of loving CARS, not games. in the end thats one of the franchises which had and probably will have the biggest impact of a videogame influencing nonvideogamers (if they dont totally screw up GT5 which is quite unlikely). that alone makes it THE game with THE impact in 2010.

kaveti66165674d ago

The competition will come down to Halo Reach and GT5. Two different genres, but both sales beasts.

I predict GT5: 9 million.

Halo Reach: 7 million.

Bazookajoe_835674d ago

Isnt dantes inferno multiplat?

And why isnt gow 3 there?

GamerReport5674d ago

It is. But 360 owners haven't been fortunate enough to have a title like God of War. It's not like God of War will ever be released on the 360 so this is the next best thing.

Dante’s Inferno Remains an Underrated Game 15 Years Later, But It Shouldn't Stay That Way

There's still time for the Visceral Games cult classic action-adventure game Dante's Inferno to return to the limelight 15 years later.

Snookies12124d ago

Absolutely loved this game. Don't know why it went under the radar with so many people.

Cacabunga124d ago (Edited 124d ago )

Was outshadowed by GOW3 it was a bad decision to release it at the same time because EA was counting on a push from xbox players. The game was DOA. I never played it

darthv72124d ago

....that's a you problem for not playing it, but the game wasn't DOA. It was very widely revered. The story was to continue in the sequel and the EA decided to focus on other projects. That wasn't the fault of the game and/or GoW.... it was the fault of EA and not wanting to invest in the team behind it.

Do yourself a favor and play it. If you have an XBO or Series X, you can find a cheap 360 disc as it's BC. It still hols up exceptionally well still to this day.

Cacabunga124d ago

Darth

It was suicide mission to release it the same day as gow3. A massive majority of ps3 skipped it.
Nothing to do with the game itself, it’s EA who didn’t manage and bet wrong

Cacabunga124d ago

Darth

Lol I just read this
“it was the fault of EA and not wanting to invest in the team behind it.”

Did you know that this same studio who didn’t get investment from EA who delivered Dead Space 1-2-3 and Battlefield Hardline? 😆

Popsicle124d ago (Edited 124d ago )

Game was loaned to me and I never booted it because GoW3 was getting all of my attention at the time. After GoW3 I had no desire to even try Dante’s Inferno because I was ready to move on to a different type of game. Not saying Dante is a bad game. It may be great. It just didn’t get to it.

darthv72124d ago (Edited 124d ago )

@caca, what I mean by team are the guys who actually worked on it. The ones who did this game are not the same ones who worked on dead space. They may all work at visceral, but they are in different teams.

So it really was about EA choosing not to continue on with Jonathan knight and his crew and instead turn their focus on the upcoming Dead Space 2 which was from a different team.

A lot of people think a developer is just that and is not made up of different teams for different projects. The sequel was to expand on the story further. They had all kinds of new ideas all story boarded and ready to go. EA just had other plans.

jwillj2k4124d ago

Not out shadowed but written off as a gow clone by multiple magazines, howrver in reality was a darker game entirely.

Exvalos124d ago

Came out around time of God of War and Devil may Cry, got lost in the ether.

ShwaaMan124d ago (Edited 124d ago )

I think it was a couple of factors,
1. Everyone was anxiously waiting for God of War 3 to release(myself included), so we could see what the Santa Monica Studio were going to accomplish with the mighty PS3.
2. It was such a direct ripoff of the GoW formula right down to the button prompts, (such as clicking L3 & R3 to activate your ultimate) .
Now, of course lots of games borrow and evolve ideas, but this was like a carbon copy with a different skin and not quite as good or pretty.
3. It was cool to look at, it played fine, good artistic design and everything, but our standards were astronomically high after GoW 1 & 2… and it just wasn’t anything to write home about.

That being said, I have been wanting to revisit it for years.

darthv72124d ago

It's probably the best GoW clone ever. Better than even 3 to some extent. The story may be loosely based on the poem but the liberties they took with the various levels of hell were pretty entertaining.

Definitely worth playing through again. It also helps that it plays even better on an XBO/ Series.

cluclap123d ago (Edited 123d ago )

Better than 3 to NO extent dude. I get it, you liked the game, but it was objectively worse than GOW3 in every way. I was one of the few who played both at the time as I couldn't get enough of GOW formula, and i liked it as a straight-to-dvd kind of game, but it did nothing better than GOW3 my guy.

Inverno124d ago

I think with a few live service features EA could revive the IP and turn it into a million dollar franchise.

Christopher124d ago

Look, EA is dumb, but they can still read comments on random aggregate sites. Let's not help them with more bad ideas.

Christopher124d ago

1+ million sold back in that day wasn't underrated.

Gamer buys 4,000 copies of Alan Wake, none of them work

Alan Wake, from Max Payne and Control creator Remedy, is a horror classic, prompting one player to buy 4,000 copies that don’t even work.

Kind of a goody story...

On a serious note, that is why I try activating gift cards asap. It's happened to me where the store didnt scan it right where the card was unusuable. Happened at Wally World.

gigoran8424d ago

wait, that place is real? national lampoon wasn't kidding?

Tacoboto423d ago

I just bought two of the MonsterVerse Godzilla movies on 4K - both had digital copies expiring in 2023. Both were actually expired.

I'd be surprised but it's WB, of course they'd actually expire them

Knightofelemia424d ago

Usually most of those redemption card have an expiry date on them. If they expired all buyer did was buy recycled paper. And some of those codes are country locked to certain countries. I buy a card from the States I can't use it in Canada.

Chocoburger424d ago

Dumb and silly story. She wasted her money for no reason.

Is it really that hard to go to Steam or GOG. She spent $240, when its currently 70% off on GOG, and only costs $4.49.

Gee, I wonder, should I spend $240 on eBay, or $4.49 on GOG? 🙄

Rynxie424d ago

Most likely she wanted to resell a few or most of them. However, it was a too good to be true situation.

424d ago
Profchaos424d ago

So in short she paid $240.00 assuming usd for a bunch on unactivated game codes.

I still don't understand why I guess cause there's not a physical version and she wanted something for a collection or art project.

Rynxie424d ago

No, most likely to resell. However, she ended up getting screwed.

Asplundh423d ago

This is Alan Wake 1, it had physical copies.

SheenuTheLegend477d ago

Yi-Long477d ago

Honorable mention to the excellent Driveclub, one of the best racing games of all-time and one of my favourite games ever.

melons477d ago

yes! incredible rain effects; so good to drive along in rain with your Spotify playlist blaring

Skuletor477d ago

I really wanted a MotorStorm using the same engine, Driveclub is easily one of the best looking games on PS4 and I'm surprised they didn't even give it a PS4 Pro patch.

ravens52477d ago

Yes indeed. May just install it on my PS5. You know, physical copy and all.

monkey602477d ago

Skuletor477d ago

I have quite a few of these. Timed licenses suck.

Terry_B477d ago (Edited 477d ago )

wow...I have all of them except the Nintendo ones either in physical or digital version.
