If it wasn't for money grubbing publisher developers would be able to publish quality games.

But without them the developers wouldn't have the finance to develop the game.

Publishers get quite the bad rap, however without their money a lot of gems wouldn't have been made.

I guess they're a necessary evil, in that they can be prone to horrendously money grubbing decisons, but there's also those ones that go out on a limb to bring something that's not exactly mainstream to fruition.

I generally don't say much about publishers, But I will say this: I don't think I've enjoyed an EA game in years. The last game I can remember from EA that I liked was Need for Speed 3, and that came out at least a million years ago.
