As long as you haven't been living under a rock for the past 15 years, you are most likely somewhat familiar with Pokémon, the franchise that took the world by storm with cute and cuddly killing machines. Over these last couple of years, the craze has finally died down, but the frequency of games in the franchise has not. So, seeing Pokémon Rumble on the WiiWare list this week should be no surprise. For many, it probably isn't even a blip on the gaming radar. However, those who are still fans of the franchise will be pleased to know that not only is there a new game featuring their favorite little monsters, it successfully strays from the typical gameplay a bit and allows you to take control of your favorite Pokémon in a free-for-all Battle Royale.
Daav Valentaten from NoobFeed writes - Pokémon Rumble: Weekend Edition is an unofficial mod for the Nintendo Wii game, which restores the generations that were missing.
Pokemon Rumble is a WiiWare game that has a lot going for it...and yet has nothing going for it at all. What does that mean? It means words.
SPC writes, "Many students, whether they are in primary school or college, are heading back or have already headed back to school. It's time to give my prized pupils the treat of video game music. Feel free to leave an apple on this teacher's desk when we are through. On this week's edition of the VGMs, we have music from Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Sonic & Knuckles, and Pokemon Rumble. Get your #2 pencil ready so we can begin."
I remember playing these when I was a kid. Good times.
Only pokemon game I ever played was that photo game on N64, it was actually really fun
So, if I am to understand this correctly, I gotta catch 'em...all? Not just some? I don't think I have the patience for such an endeavor.
Why Pokemon? Why do you make me want to buy them all?
Jk, cool stuff tho, good article
