Softpedia: Lego Indiana Jones 2 – The Adventure Continues Review

Softpedia writes: "It is a known fact that the movie industry is all about creating new fictional or real content for the sole purpose of entertaining viewers by challenging them to either take part in adventures or discover the human spirit. The Indiana Jones franchise has been around for some time now and has made it from the wide screen into our homes by being incorporated into the videogame industry. This is how everyone can experience the thrill of being a great adventurer from the comfort of their own home either by playing new and daring adventures or by reliving some of their favorite movie scenes.

Most particularly, LEGO has embraced the Indiana Jones trade mark since June 2008, ever since the release of the first LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures. The result was a smashing hit, in part because the developer created an animated cartoonish figure that abides both the LEGO and the Indiana Jones distinct and unique characteristics. The game was a perfect mix of adventure and good old fashioned fun, and also followed the script of the original motion picture. Children were thrilled because they got to play in a LEGO world and adults were entertained by the humorist events and sense of adventure that the game brought forward."

Are the free Xbox Games With Gold titles for June 2018 any good?

Neil writes: "Recent months have seen the likes of SUPERHOT, The Witness, Assassin's Creed: Syndicate and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain given away for free via the Xbox Games With Gold scheme. Now though, as June hits, a batch of four more games are being gifted to all Xbox One and Xbox 360 gamers out there. But are the games on offer this time around right up there with the names that precede them?"

All pretty shite to me apart from Sonic Racing

TheCommentator2147d ago

Assassins' Creed is pretty good too, but in general this isn't the greatest library.

OT: MS is giving away free content again this year for those watching their E3 presentation on Sunday, June 10, through Mixer. This year watching Inside Xbox on Monday gives even more. I don't know what's going to be in either of the MixPots but it's pretty cool for MS to give you free games just for watching.

ZaWarudo2148d ago

More people should play Smite, and that bundle is a good deal.

XbladeTeddy2147d ago

Sonic racing was brilliant, not bothered about the others though.

Mulando2147d ago

The xb360 titles are good.
I expect some free games anounced @ e3 or something like that.

TheCommentator2147d ago

Watch MS' E3 presentation and Inside Xbox through Mixer and you'll get two DLC MixPots for free.

TheCommentator2147d ago

"Plus, we sweetened the deal by adding two MixPots to the Microsoft briefing and Inside Xbox. All you have to do is log-in, watch, and receive, to score some free DLC. "

Will Tuttle: "Welcome to another edition of Games with Gold for Xbox One and Xbox 360! This month on June 1, infiltrate and dispatch your enemies in Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia, then on June 16, control the power of the pantheon with the Smite Gold Bundle with content exclusive to Gold members. Since I started with my online business, I earn $25 every 15 minutes. It sounds unbelievable but you won’t forgive yourself if you don't check it out. Learn more about it here>> http://tiny.cc/dgf0ry

lxeasy2150d ago

Can't embed the video because N4G is giving me a server error.

Christopher2150d ago

Sorry for the bug. No clue why it's happening, but more trouble to resubmit it than let this go. Thanks for submitting.

Nyxus2150d ago

No problem. I get that bug occasionally, and it means you can't edit anything about the story anymore.

yarbie10002150d ago

You'd expect the month of E3 to be good, but this is absolutely terrible. Giving away free games now with content that you can earn just by playing the game. Where's all those people claiming they love paying for multiplayer because of the VALUE they get with free games? Embarrassing

RpgSama2150d ago

They now want you to be subscribing to Gamepass, that's why this month is trash.

pinkcrocodile752150d ago

Either show me where Microsoft publicly said that this month is only shit games because they'd prefer you to buy gamepass.

Or admit you're making sh!t up

zaherdab2150d ago

@pinkcrocodile i hope you're being sarcastic ...

RpgSama2150d ago

@pinkcrocodile75

I'm making what they call "an educated guess", don't know if you ever heard of that.

nunley332150d ago

Microsoft doesn't actually have to say it for that to be apparent, people see this with their actions.

Yeah I'm kinda pissed about that lol

mark_parch2150d ago

why would e3 month be the best month? I would expect e3 month to be the worst because nobody's going to be focused on games with gold when there's going to be a million other announcements.

Specter2292150d ago

I'm not wasting a single GB on these.
