Kotaku: "Several readers have emailed us wondering why the downloadable version of LittleBigPlanet PSP wasn't yet available on the PlayStation Network, with the UMD version already hitting stores. Sony responds."
Glad I didn't buy an over priced PSP Go. If you intend to buy a PSP, buy the regular one. It is cheaper, games come out day and date on disc, you can snap up used games on the bargain and re-sell your games!
http://www.joystiq.com/2009... That's just ridiculous to do. Mean to tell me people who buy/bought a PSP Go have a chance that a game they want will never be released for them to play?
Hasn't this game been confirmed for the next psn update?
My guess is that Little Big Planet PSP comes out today. Thursday is when they release DLC, PSN games and what not, and the same usually holds true for PSP titles. Note, this is a casual observation. From personal experience I've been able to get the titles I wanted, when I wanted them. I can wait a couple days... I don't think this is an example of Sony not supporting digital release and the Go but the simple business routine of releasing all digital content at once.
Please see the link I provided below.
Thanks cause the games coming out in the next update, which is today/tomorrow depending which timezone.
that or the image didnt arrive on time orsomething
lol... Why isn't it on the store? Because its not THURSDAY yet. Lol...what imbiciles. Seriously why are you asking that question? Do you also need to know what 1+1 is? I can help you with that awnser too! I have my PSP Go. I wait til Thursday to download w/e I want. If you can't wait 2 days I don't know what to tell ya. Get a life? Contribute around the house? Do the dishes? Clean your room? Play Uncharted 2 online. I dunno I can think of tons of things other than playing LBP PSP. Stop being a whiney little kid though. The best we can do is get Sony to move the updates to Tuesdays which will coincide with the "New Release" material. I'd enjoy that plus PS3 would get everything 1 day sooner than XBox Live. God knows Sony isn't doing anyone a favor by making the updates 1 day after XBL.
I'm guessing the reason the question is being asked is because the new Assassin's Creed game on PSP was released Tuesday and not Thursday.
Sony said prior to the launch of the PSPGo that new releases would be on the store day and date with the UMD versions. ALSO, Eric Levine confirmed last week that the game would be on the store on the 17th (Tuesday), AND in their blog post Sony apologized for the DELAY. http://blog.us.playstation.... (comment reply #27). I own a PSP Go and this is the game I was most looking forward to buying. It is absolutely pathetic that Sony couldn't have it launch smoothly. They are basically taking a dump on all of us that bought the Go instead of sticking with the UMD drive.
thought i was going crazy looking for it on the store for my pspgo well now i know. its not there. lame
Yea...it comes out on Thursday. I'm gonna file this under "Not an issue."
incorrect. http://blog.us.playstation.... (see: response to comment #27).
To the guys with all the answers, Assassin's Creed was available to download TUESDAY. So what now?
Sony puts out all the games that release during the week out on Thursday on the PSN. If a 3rd party developer wants to put a game on the PSN early, that's entirely up to them. They just have to ask Sony and they can help them put it up. How hard is that to understand?
another person (Leon) that doesn't know what they are talking about.
Sony is essentially giving special deals to 3rd party devs. Same thing with Rockstar and Ubisoft. They uploaded their games quick because of recent business deals (IE Agent for Rockstar games and the exclusive advertizzing for PS3 version of AC as well as Bloodlines.)
You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. @Leon - Why don't you go ahead and look at the BS you are saying up above about 3rd parties then looks at the link I provided above. Sony said they would be releasing ALL new releases on the store on the same day and date as UMD. Not only that, but my link provides direct confirmation that LBP PSP was supposed to be on the store on the 17th and that is why you have Sony apologizing for its "delay" on the blog tonight. Go educate yourself then come back and admit that you were wrong. I'm not trying to sound cool, but I'm flattered.
He actually seems to know what he's talking about. If something you said made sense...I'd believe you too. Unfortunately, you wasted time trying to make his comment seem less significant in an attempt to look "cool" in an online forum about video games. You are the epitome of "awesome", sir.
When someone is wrong they run away and hide from the truth. I hope LBP PSP makes it onto the store today.
...I can walk into the store and buy it but cant get it off PSN till tomorrow (which will be Friday in New Zealand). Digital distribution is a joke. Its more expensive and comes out after the physical media.
I downloaded this Tuesday night in Singapore and even got Uncharted 2, Motorstorm, and Killzone 2 costume packs. Of course, we didn't get Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines, so Sony giveth and Sony taketh away... I'll keep enjoying being alone on the on-line leaders boards until you poor saps can download your copy. FYI, even as a download it takes a long time to load, so I can only imagine how long the UMD must take.
if sony wants to sale more psp gos and games on psn they should put them in the store a week before they hit retail. This would help especially on big games.
