Colton West of GamesThirst writes: Have you ever found yourself picking up a game just because everyone and their mothers was praising it like crazy, only to play it and ask yourself why was it so hyped up in the first place? I've done that plenty of times and let me tell you, it set my wallet back quite a bit and sadly, it's money and time I will never get back. Here is a list of what I believe to be some of the most overly hyped and overrated games of all time. Keep in mind that this is not all of them considering my list is very long, so I'll just keep it brief.
"gamescom latam 2025, the Latin edition of the world's biggest games event, was a total success, breaking records during its second year.." - gamescom latam.
We're combing through some of the most hidden or obscure JRPGs out there. We've got 25 Obscure JRPGs to look at.
Remake of Lost Odyssey, Open World Alundra(ala breath of the wild), Xenogears Remake, and Breath of Fire Remake. I also want Golden Sun sequel on Switch 2!
Assassin's Creed Animus is a brand-new board game from Mantic Games, the team behind the incredible Halo Flashpoint game.
Mario 64, no. A true masterpiece.
Ok, this guy is an idiot:
"release of the infinitely better Grand Theft Auto 4" compared to GTA:SA.
Halo 3, obviously.
Mass Effect, obviously.
Ikaruga, no one cares.
Marvel Vs Capcom 2, no one cares.
Doom, yes. Boring a hell game. Ultima Underworld destroyed it in both technology and gameplay.
Final Fantasy VII. And the retard inevitably throws this one in just for hits.
i agree with Halo 3 and Mass Effect
Honestly, I was so hyped up for this game. Bioware and Black Isle are my favorite RPG developers....
and well
The entire story in Mass Effect felt just so....generic. Like it was ripped straight from Star Trek and Lovecraft.
The RPG elements were poorly fleshed out. The combat was entertaining, and the cut scenes and cinematics were phenomenal.
But I hated how blatant the be good or be evil was. That is why I prefer Dragon Age over Mass Effect. There are a lot more grey areas in Dragon Age (not as much as the Witcher though), where as in Bioware it is pretty much BE GOOD or BE EVIL.
Half decent game from Bioware. Good game when not compared to the rest of Bioware games.
I'm still going to get the second one though. But I'm begging for a Dragon Age 2.
only game i agree with on that list is halo 3
Ok while Ikaruga was a hard and short game, the music was top quality. I played this game over and over just to listen to the music.
