Dan from Project Gamers writes: Recently, I ordered King of Kong: A Fistfull of Quarters for some great gaming nostalgia. It arrived today and I watched the epic battle between Billy Mitchell and Steve Wiebe unfold once again in its glory. I already knew the story, and the film has been available on DVD since January 29th, 2008, but after watching the film it gave me inspiration to revive competitive gaming on a certain level within the PSP community.
Most hardcore classic gamers are those who grew up during the classic golden age of arcades (mainly the early 80s), and slightly beyond. Most of us who grew up during that time who still have the opportunity to get those precious minutes of gaming in may enjoy the portability and versatility of the PSP.
The PSP was ambition personified, so much so that it’s kinda wild to look back and realise what exactly Sony cooked up in 2004.
I still play my PSP. Sadly the UMD drive has stopped working, but I modded it to still be able to play my games (and then some). Such a great little portable.
The game looks like fun and here is the announcement trailer.
