Modern Warfare 2 Cracked Servers Released

Forget the so called feud over the no dedicated servers for Modern Warfare 2 because someone already cracked it. The so called "cracked version" can host multiplayer games out of the IWNet and also host LAN games.

The cracked MPloader from Teknogods is of course against the terms and rules by Infinity Ward somewhere, so I would suggest you use this at your own risk. However, it is reported that all rooms on the server is already full to max compacity.

Just because the word cracked is used, automatically doesn't associate it with piracy, quite a few online only games have LAN cracks for them :) just a simple case of replacing a file in the install directory :)

I definitely don't feel sorry for IW, and especially not for those who bought the game and are currently playing with 200+ pings. Serves em' right.

Kind of ironic that you have to download a cracked version if you want the superior version of the game without any lag. Normaly I don't condone piracy, but in this case I say good on 'em and I hope more pc gamers download this and enjoy the benifit of dedicated servers instead of give IW their money.

I used to pirate games myself in the old days but i have think now that's just stupid. In the end your damaging your own platform to the point where there will no longer be any games to play.

It's not like the old days where PC was far superior to the console and if you wanted the best experience you went to PC. Consoles are catching up fast and developers just wont take the risk over developing for the PC if piracy gets too bad.

I'm kinda glad someone has made their own dedicated servers, but kinda sad that this will hurt the PC platform and maybe IW wont bring MW3 to the PC next time.

Article is VERY factually incorrect.

General lan/multiplayer play has NOT been cracked yet, Teknogods loader applies ONLY to spec-ops co-op mode which is limited to a paltry 2 players. (And that is technically within the singleplayer code of the game anyway)

This is not to say it won't be cracked very shortly but it certainly hasn't been done yet.

I disagree about mp not cracked yet. It was already cracked last night. Just a simple executable lets you play online like its a non-pirated version. Activision got owned really bad.
