Quick Race is self-explanatory (just flick through the cars in real-time in the brilliantly laid out garage menu). We particularly liked how you could start anywhere on the grid without having to slog through two practice laps and qualifying. Similarly, you can skip straight to the main race in Championship Mode but you'll automatically start at the back of the grid. There's some sort of double-clutch thing going on during take off; Could we get a boost off the line? Could we hell! It makes Mario Kart look simple."
