Looking to jump in on the Modern Warfare 2 early playing, street date breaking craziness that have been occurring? Well you can't. PC gamers it seems are always getting shafted right? This is getting out of control.
lol me and my housemates are all getting this game but on different formats. so far only 1 of the guys has got his copy but it's on pc lol
And won't work well EVER. http://www.neogaf.com/forum... Sorry, Activision, but I don't buy games from companies that disregard their customers.
I dont like how the article is saying "its getting out of control" when its before street date, no one is supposed to have it before tomorrow, and this keeps people from leveling a character in mp.
Ok...what a stupid article. "THIS IS OUT OF CONTROL, WE CAN'T PLAY THE GAME EARLY!!! WAAAH!!!"
Cry me a river, build a bridge, and get over it. Quit b!tching, PC gamers, you're starting to sound pathetic. @ 6 Boohoo, you get to kill civilians. You can do that in inFamous, Fallout 3, GTA, you name it, you can probably kill civilians in it.
I think the correct title is the legal retail version won't work until tuesday...other versions may work ;) But after seeing that clip of you controlling someone and shooting unarmed civilans...this game isn't even worth a pirate. I hope this game is banned because of the aforementioned scene and they lose sales...here's to hoping anyway
I think your an Idiot for hoping this game gets banned for the scene you are refering to. With all of the GTA's out there where you can kill anyone you like for no reason what so ever and every other game out there where you can just gun down innocent UNARMED people, you have a problem with this. One small mission in the game that tries to get you to understand what type of psyco you are dealing with and what actually goes on in this world on a regular basis. Not to mention that the game has a disclamer at the very beginning about skipping disturbing content and missions if you will be offended. I don't see a problem here at all. Why don't you go back to playing Mario Bros. ( Oh wait, that might be a little to violent for ya to. Stomping on all those innocent, unarmed Koopas and all)
apparently theoretically i heard off someone else, there is no crack yet.
Very childish. I like violent games, but your implying tha all violent games are the same. The context is what gives it meaning, and fallout 3 is unrealistic and more often than not the civilans are armed. In the mw2 clip, there is a group of people lined up and you have to mow them down. There was no need for it to be a playable segment, it cold have been a clip in game. I'm 23, i don't play mario you immature little ****. But because i think a disturbing scene in a game is wrong, does not mean i am against video game violence. Mw2 crossed the line, acknowledge it and get back to me when your balls drop
First off, I almost have students your age and the balls have dropped years ago unlike the someone that I am having a rant with. I'm 36 if you need to know. Anyhow, Like I said before, that fact that you think this game should be banned for something of this nature in this day and age when games have clearly crossed the line between what society views moral or immoral is ridiculous. Here we have a game that is clearly trying to get emotion out of the player, (whether that emotion be hatred, sorrow or pure shock of the moment of what just went on) and is also trying to convey to the player what type of madman you are dealing with, all while trying to tell this type of story. I think they nailed it. Truthfully, you actually don't even have to pull the trigger until the police show up. But, then we have the others, the GTA's and the Manhunts where you can be as violent as you like for no apparent reason. Beating up anyone and everyone you like. (don't forget to get your money back from them hos) But that violence probably didn't bother you huh. Of course not, you were only 15 years old then Not to mention that if anyone is a very sensitive person or is offended easily, that there is a warning about such scenes at the beginning of the game and you do have the option to skip such scenes all together without penalty of game achievements if those are your bag. If you don't like the game or are one of the PC gamers who is pissed for other reasons, so be it but to say it should be banned because of a scene like that is you being totally naive and ignorant. Play the game before you pass your judgement.
well for a 36 year old teacher you are extremely immature. Independent thought is a good thing you ****ing sheep. You assumed i was against video game violence and continue to compare unrealistic game violence to a shooter simulation depicting the sort of thing that happens across the world. A simulated massacre is not a good thing. Being in control of the character performing it is far more de-sensitizing to the violence than just watching a clip of it. Like i said the context gives it relevance. I don't think anyone, young or old should be give the opportunity to perform the acts that are in the game. I love massacring the civilians in fallout 3, but it is meaningless as it's an impossible situation with unrealistic characters and weapons. GTA is a bad example, everything, from the third person view to the graphics makes the player very much aware that they are playing a game, MW2 is a first person shooter, you ARE the person (looking through their eyes) as you mow down unarmed screaming civilans in a confined space. If you can't see the difference then you are extremely narrow minded and stupid. I encourage awareness of violence and have nothing against violent games, but it is not a good example for developers to be setting by re-creating terrorist acts or mass shootings
I don't have the time or energy to squabble back and forth with you on this matter so lets agree to disagree. this is getting both of us nowhere. we shall continue on a future topic.
You have your opinion, and that's fine, but your problem is you wanna shove it down everybody's throat. You don't agree with the content in this game so you think the rest of the world should not be allowed to make up their own minds about purchasing it. That's basically what you're saying. Let some bureaucrat somewhere decide what's good, bad or what's offensive to everyone. The real irony here is you call Darth Gamer a "sheep" for who knows what reason, but by your philosophy, you would obviously prefer sheep to independent thinkers. 'GTA is a bad example, everything, from the third person view to the graphics makes the player very much aware that they are playing a game,' -- dchalfont That's just f'ing ridiculous and makes me think you're just a troll. Haha, you can't be serious about that. If you ever lose sight of the fact that you're playing a game, I don't care what game it is, you have more issues than simply being offended by violent content. So yeah, that's that.
pc gamers are getting "shafted" because they can't play the game before the official release date...? Oh boo hoo. Now, they might be getting shafted with other aspects of the game, but seriously, this should not be an issue...Just wait 8 hours lol
Oh yeah, should comment on the article. It's Tuesday and the PC version still doesn't work. This is crap.
