Tech-Gaming writes: "This year, video game companies seemed to finally notice the fact that movies have taken advantage of for decades: during the month of October, people want to see scary things. October saw the release of games several horror titles, like Dead Space: Extraction, Juon: The Grudge: Haunted House Simulator and ObsCure: The Aftermath. I'll be honest with the readers and say that I didn't want to like this game as much as I did; like everyone else I moved on from jump-scare survival horror games 10 years ago. Nevertheless, I felt that ObsCure: The Aftermath did a great job of recreating the experience of a corny, October release, cash-in horror movie, and to me, that was a pretty novel concept."
ObsCure: The Aftermath features an improvement of nearly all of the hang-ups that held the first game back.
