I suppose that, technically, this could fill the role as Nintendo's holiday 2010 game. But I don't see Nintendo not delaying this game at least once.

yea..i get to find a sword then find a boomerang and then find a cross bow again. lol All jokes aside it does feel a little stale though.

EvilTwin3267d ago

I doubt we'll see it in 2010.

Keep in mind, Zelda is Nintendo's biggest gun. They try not to fire it that often; Twilight Princess was a GC port, so we haven't even seen a true Wii Zelda yet.

Once the next LoZ drops, it's likely to be the last big Wii game. I could see Nintendo delaying it for that very reason. If they can push it off until 2011, then they could release it alongside a new console, just like they did with TP.

Valay3267d ago

That could happen, although that would create a terrible cycle. Nintendo would keep releasing the latest Zelda game for what is, technically, old hardware.

Being honest there's only one way for me to look at this statement-no Zelda til Wii2. Nothing else makes sense as they won't want to lose Zelda to the middle/end of each console cycle and saying this NOW when they know they need something good and to keep coming with something good on the software front(seeing as they still can't support 3rd parties in any reasonable way). Leaving it til after this year means it just isn't coming any time soon AT ALL and will be used to sell the next console just like a CG Zelda did the Wii-it's becoming a legacy to start a generation with a last gen Zelda if my fears are right.

It is obvious that Zelda Wii won't come out in 2010 because we haven't seen anything about the game yet, in fact, i believe that it is going to be their biggest announcement in E3 2010, launching the game Q1-Q2 of 2011.

I really don't think they will be launching it with a new console, the new one will come in fall 2012 at the earliest, and I really prefer to have a zelda late in the console life cycle, because it means they can "squeeze" more power out of it to make a better game.

I've stopped caring about Zelda.

Bodyboarder_VGamer3267d ago (Edited 3267d ago )

Why?! I know that Twilight Princess was boring but all prior Zelda on console have been awesome. Specially Wind Waker and Ocarina of Time.

ActionBastard3267d ago

Mainly b/c everything feels so much the same...well, except for Wind Waker. That is the type of direction I wished Zelda would go. Personally, I just don't care anymore. Felt the same way about Mario, the Super Mario Galaxy comes along and reminds you why you loved them to begin with. Hopefully this Zelda does the same.

I've only started caring for Zelda.
Twilight Princess was my first one.

I never owned a nintendo console before the gamecube and I got that really late in it's cycle.

EDIT: If you dont count the gameboy that is. Had one of those since I was tiny

Bodyboarder_VGamer3267d ago

It is just me or the art from this Zelda game is awfully similar to Twilight Princess? Is this a continuation or something?

The LOZ will benefit greatly from better hardware. Better hardware will do wonders. The Wii is just an enhanced gamecube to tell the truth.

SMG and MP3:C already maxed out the Wii in 2007. Yes! 1 year after the Wii's launch.

If they are planning to use M+, well it is already out and they are bundling them with the Wii remotes, so I can't see why they can't release it next year, the majority of people will have one by then.

How they can just release SMG2 and MOM next year and abandon LOZ?
LOZ should be their prime focus, since SMG amd MOM's engine is already done I suppose.
What have they been doing since the Wii's launch?
Wii Fit 3 won't cut it next year.

Hopefully... I really wish they go in a more mature direction for Zelda. Not God of War mature, but a darker Zelda, instead of the kiddy stuff

Whitefox7893267d ago

Only thing I know is their bringing back Adult Link since he's a lot more popular then Kid Link
