IGN: SimAnimals Africa Review

The idea of combining the educational animal aspects of SimSafari with the virtual pet like personality of The Sims is a neat idea. And if your kid adored the first game, then Africa is exactly the same thing. But there's just not a lot of game here. It's really cute, and there are a decent amount of animals, plus tons of plants, fish, and bugs. But there's no reason to keep playing after the short and extremely easy missions.

However if you're looking for a gentle exploration game for your child, you could do a lot worse than SimAnimals Africa. It might not be revolutionary, but nor should it be. Instead it offers simple, casual fun that's ideal for the family."

Overall, SimAnimals Africa is a fun game with adorable animals and simple game play for the younger gamer. The idea that the player is in control of the animals, their habitat and survival will appeal to those who enjoy games of interaction and simulation. However, older and more serious game players will not get as much enjoyment from this particular Sims title.
