The Lost Gamer writes "The new range of PSP Minis that launched alongside the PSP Go were inevitably going to offer a broad variety of genres. Whilst quite a number of such 'bite-size' games are typically puzzle games, recent years have seen an increased interest within the genre of tower defense games and their compellingly addictive nature. When I learnt one of the iPhone's top-selling games, and a recipient of a multitude of awards, was set to be enhanced and ported over to the PSP, it should be easy to see why I was particularly excited about the prospect of getting my hands on it."
Tower Defense wasn’t always the default genre on the App Store. In 2008, developers were struggling to find a fit for the iPhone’s large touchscreen, and ports of old JAVA and BREW mobile games just weren’t cutting it. Subatomic Studios was one of the first studios to publish a quality tower defense game on the App Store, and five years later, we’re still playing the Fieldrunners series.
Fieldrunners was an awesome game, but what about a version of Red Dead Redemption for iOS? am i the only one who thinks that awesome? :I
Chris Buffa (Modojo): It appears that developer Subatomic Studios has been busy, as the developer just announced big news for its Fieldrunners franchise that will definitely please fans and newcomers alike.
Humble Bundle for Android 3 made an astonishing $830,000 with the addition of 4 new games spurring on the sales.
Awesome! Hopefully this encourages more developers and publishers to let the customer set their own price.
