Why there was nothing 'natural' about my EyePet's death

I couldn't agree more, it's a pleasure to read from time to time something in the gaming media that is actually well written and funny to read.
I actually commented on the site congratulating the writer!

This is how gaming journalism should be, the guy described the game very well while making it funny.

I'm so f*cking tired of articles like: "Top ten's", "OMG, my dlck's bigger than yours" and "X Vs Y" written by hypocrit and ignorant journalists, many time coming from big sites like IGN, Gamespot and others.

Kudos to the guy that posted this on N4G and to the article author.

But I do think that eyepet could have been so much more.

You can tell that the direction of this game was wrong from the start. Im not going to lie if I was making this game I'd instantly go into a store and buy every single Nintendogs game there is.

Becuase its HUGELY successful.

Instantly Id realise that people dont just want one pet, they want many, so they can interact with eachother, play, fight and stuff. And then if a friend came round they could have their pet join in, you could even do this online.

Another thing I'd note from the popular series is the competitions, you could teach your pet to do acrobatics, and teach them to do tricks and drawing.

And with the money youd earn youd buy your food and neccessities, and then even toys to play with.

This technology could be really great fun but first we need a developer who will look past just trying to impress us with being able to scan paper and stuff, and actually turn this into a game.

At best this game to me seemed like a tech demo.

And just to note that card idea for toys was horrible. There are so many better shapes, and why not use spherical shapes so you can turn it round in any direction?

I've bought it for my 5yrold.

Hopefully it'll live a little longer.

The part about the creature not drawing or doing the tunes as good, is because it has to learn has it goes along from what i've been told, it gets better at doing the stuff.

I'll take a look soon though, just for observation.
