Digital Spy Feature: The 12 Games Of Christmas

Liam Martin of DigitalSpy writes:

"This Christmas could be an odd one for the video game release calendar. The first quarter of the year saw many big releases make their way onto the shelves, and for a while even the summer months looked like they could prove fruitful, until the usual summer games drought finally kicked in. However, Christmas is nearly always a banker, and a slew of games end up arriving at around the same time, much to the frustration of gamers everywhere who can usually only afford to buy one or two of the prospective games on offer.

This year is slightly different though; the reason being that one game in particular has every publisher shaking in their boots, leading to many a delay.

It's not all bad though, there are still a lot of cracking titles to look forward to, and each console has a few tricks up its sleeve to reel in the punters eager to bag the next blockbuster.

Digital Spy takes a look at the twelve biggest games of the Christmas release calendar, in its 'Twelve Games Of Christmas' round-up."
