Denki launches on DirecTV reports that Dundee-based casual game developer Denki has struck a deal with American satellite TV giant DirecTV to feature its games on its interactive TV service.

The deal gives Denki its first foothold in the US, where digital TV gaming is not yet as popular as it is in Europe.

Denki has provided nine games for the launch of DirecTV's new Game Lounge service. They include the puzzle title that made Denki's name - Denki Blocks! - as well as licensed games like Hot Wheels: Monster Truck Smashdown and Barbie in The 12 Dancing Princesses.

DirecTV customers with an interactive TV receiver can access the Game Lounge by paying either USD 5.95 a month for an all-access subscription, or USD 1.95 for its unique "play-per-day" offering
