TPG writes: "Why is this game still in my DS? What makes it compelling enough for me to keep wanting to play it? It's not the DS graphical quality, by which I mean jaggedy and low-res. It's not the characters that look like their robes have been painted on the same long cloth sack, like a Square Enix version of one of those skeleton t-shirts that used to be all the rage. It's definitely not the repetitive fetch and button-mashing missions, or the incredibly old-school camera system. And it's certainly not the emptiness of the different worlds Roxas travels to in his never ending set of missions."
The future could be filled with revived Nintendo DS classics. Hopefully it happens!
My kid yesterday proclaimed he liked the DS more than the Switch because the controls work on the go. Then I asked if he would rather have Monster Hunter Stories 2 on Steam or Switch and he chose Steam. So proud!
VGChartz's Taneli Palola: "With the recent release of Kingdom Hearts III finally heralding the return of the bizarre Disney/Final Fantasy crossover franchise, I figured this would be a good time to look back at the entire series through its music. Overall, we'll be covering a span of almost 17 years, eight games, and several different platforms in this article."
Of all the pointless characters in the series, Kingdom Hearts' Xion is the absolute worst of them all, and she should not have been brought back in Kingdom Hearts III. Here's why.
Might be a controversial opinion but I've always thought Sora after KH1 was a very naive and one dimensional protagonist.
A review already? Didn't this just come out?
Who spilled Mickey in my Final Fantasy?
You got your hair gel in my Toontown!
Too bad it's such a mixed bag.
You know you can set the camera control to the L and R buttons in the options menu right? It actually tells you that in a pop-up so then you can rotate it as you run.
The mysterious storyline you mention is only because you need to have played the past KH games and it's got really bad writing at parts.
If anything the gameplay and graphics are the highlights of the game because the music and environments are recycled and the writing and pacing are atrocious and the actual missions are super repetitive.
If you want a more actiony take on Final Fantasy on your portable go for the Crystal Chronicles games on the DS or Crisis Core on PSP. I'm still enjoying 358/2 Days but those aforementioned games are much, much better in my opinion.
