Top 10 PS3 Exclusive games From Now Through March 2010

Publishers, Developers and Console makers don't usually get along too well on different levels, but there's one song they sing in unison, and it's the belief that games sell consoles. Doesn't matter how good it looks, whether there's wifi built in or blu-ray capability, if there are no games, then you won't sell consoles.

With this truth in hand, GamesThirst went on a search to determine which company will sell more units from now through March 2010 based solely on their exclusive lineup. We first searched for the games Sony has up its arsenal, here are the titles we found.

EyePet. My children have been asking me when will it be released. I told them a few months ago that it will be released by the end of this year. But too bad it was delayed, I haven't told them yet. Hope they won't remember about it by the end of this year.

There's no reason to ignore the Multiplatform released though. A huge advantage to the PS3 is the online in'em is free. You can play MW2 on the 360 but you have to pay, on the PS3 that's not the case, and they're both the same quality since it's P2P based. So that's definitely a plus.

Other than that, it's a strong line up.

Heavy rain and FFvs13 are late 2010. As far as the list goes I think it is rubbish. FF13 #1? Looks like someone forgot to pick up UC2 last Tuesday. And how are you gonna put the god of war collection pack above a brand new R&C game (which looks to be the best one yet)? oh well to each his own.

i could be wrong but i dont know Rockstar could possibly release AGENT in 2010 since we still dont know much about the title. anyone knows how long its been in development? as for Versus, maybe a late 2010 japanese release, then early 2011 for us? :)

anyway, 2010 and 2011 will be packed with tons of great PS3 exclusives, just like 2009 was.

They should replace God of War Collection with something else on that list. Yeah, I'll be buying it and it will be awesome, but technically it's a re-release. Then he admits he doesn't consider NG2 to be a PS3 exclusive, but that he included it because it's a great game. Um, well what the fuh, dude, is this a list of new exclusives or isn't it? If you personally don't see it as exclusive, put another deserving title like Heavy Rain on there or something. Otherwise not a bad list.

Basically this guy just picked almost every major anticipated PS3 exclusive/ previously released anticipated Exclusives and put them in a list... it's a pretty predictable list, but I'm just happy I get my 2 most anticipated PS3 titles of 2010 that have release dates, GOW3 and GT5 within about the first Quarter of the year.

I really don't agree with FFXIII being up here because regardless of it's exclusivity in Japan, it's still coming out on the 360 in the West... Heavy Rain isn't listed at all and it would've been a good alternative

2010 looks like it's going to be a crazy year for gaming though... just so many high calibur titles coming out for PC/PS3/360 starting in the First Quarter...after the 2009 Holiday Season is over I've gotta start putting away some money ASAP!

Final Fantasy is a huge franchise, not just some no-name RPG. Microsoft would be stupid to not have this game on their console.

They are stupid to HAVE it on their console. They wasted millions getting a game for a genre that their fanbase has CONSISTENTLY PROVEN they care NOTHING for. Look at the sales of L.O., Blue Dragon, I.U., SO4, ToV, Last Remnant. All 360 JRPG's, all tanked. For FF games, selling 2 million is considered low, imagine if it sold the standard < 1,000,000 that JRPG's on the 360 have been selling. Microsoft made a dumbass move and didn't do any market research, nor did SE. They will hemorrhage money because of it.

Please, man. Final Fantasy is NOT the same as those scrubby also-ran JRPGs you listed. It's the Halo of JRPGs. Hell, they could poop in a box, slap "Final Fantasy" on it, and sell millions. Just like Halo ODST, come to think of it.

I'm not a big fan of the genre, but gimme a break. Final Fantasy games sell. I've got friends who play nothing but shooters and sports games normally, and who wouldn't know what you meant by "JRPG", but absolutely love the FF series.

Final Fantasy XIII is on the 360, Uncharted 2, R&C, and Demon's Souls have all been already released.

God of War collection isn't even a PS3 exclusive, I was playing God of War 2 on my PC using an emulator a week ago! Plus since when were PS2 games magically transformed into PS3 games?

Yakuza 4 ain't coming until late 2010.

And Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 has already been released and I wouldn't even call it an exclusive since the game was on the 360 a loooong time ago.

Theres a pretty high chance those Jrpg will be coming stateside since previous titles have made it and FF XIII versus is actually exclusive to the ps3 while FF XIII is going to multiplatform.

Im not sure I would put Demon's souls OVER Uncharted 2 due to how niche it actually is, but personally I agree with you. It should be very high on the list.

I bought Uncharted 2 on Tuesday. Since then, I have played Demon's Souls twice as much, and I have never been a big fan of console RPGs. I don't think it's quite as "niche" as everyone predicted. When a game has top 10 sales, its niche status is open for dispute. This takes nothing away from Uncharted 2, by the way. I'm just obsessed with beating DS right now.

Perhaps you are right frostypants.

Maybe we should leave it this way: it is targeted for a niche audience. I mean come on...Swords, armor, magic, a very european art design, difficulty that WILL require you to think, a game that WILL require hours and hours of gameplay.

That being said, maybe this is a niche title that others are trying out for the first time, or getting back to it after along time. Maybe atlus and from software underestimated the thirst for something new and challenging when everything about the industry is going the other way with a more casual experience.

I really enjoyed Uncharted 2, but there were times I was like.."Quit holding my hand..I can figure this out, dammit."

And I had this thought as well, "Damn that was a cheap death, that had nothing to do with me being stupid or not thinking enough."

The story is great in Uncharted 2, but I was glad to get back to Demon's Souls. It was there on my shelf laughing while I played Uncharted 2...laughing....

Fun story: In that one early part of Uncharted 2 where the building is collapsing, I actually found myself thinking "what would I do here in Demon's Souls?". I then followed through, which is to say "died". But yeah, I can't get that game out of my head.

When I came out into my living room this morning, I caught Demon's Souls trying to teabag Uncharted 2. It's such a bastard...

I caught myself doing the same thing (what would I do in Demon's Souls).

Not that Uncharted 2 is lacking in combat, it just limits you to play like it tells you to play. Shoot, throw grenade, cover...and dabble with some stealth and melee combat.

Demon's souls gives you a set of rules and then lets you tackle it however you see fit.

I finally read a review...I forgot where so I apologize for borrowing this idea...That nailed why I like this game so much.

It trusts the player. It trusts the player has intelligence and patientce to work into the game over the course of hours. There are very few games in the last decade that basically doesn't give a flying eff if you get passed the first level or not.

I also understand why one reviewer said something to the effect that it renewed is ardoure for video games.

This is my favorite game so far this generation.

...it feels so dfferent too look at these list for the PS3 now that I own a PS3 slim!!

Been on the fence about gettn a PS3 as the 360 was doin just fine for me. But the SLIM release combined with a price drop...couldnt pass up.

Also there are finally games comin that I am interested in. Uncharted 2 which I already picked up with the system.

I never did play GOW 1 and 2 so that collectors pack has me interested.

And also Heavy Rain and Demons Souls (solid reviews!)

So, lemme get this straight...

PS3 fanboys argue against the 360 and say Mass Effect 2, Left4Dead 2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction don't count as exclusives because they're also on the PC. Yet #1 on the list is FFXIII because... it's exclusive in Japan?

Contradiction.

PS3 fanboys argue that GTA4 DLC and ODST are just glorified expansions. So, why is the God of War Collection on that list? It's not a new game or IP, it's a re-release of old games with slightly enhanced graphics intended to milk fans of the series.

Contradiction.

Some people seem to like the name on their system more than the game inside it.
