Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition Scores 9.5

Japanese game magazine Famitsu were the first to review Resident Evil 4 on the Wii. Their verdict?

According to the magazine, which tasked four of their writers with reviewing the game, the content is almost identical to the GameCube version, but the Wiimote controls make the game feel fresh and different. One reviewer commented that the Wiimote controls made the player feel closer to the action, and increased the tension when hunting down the zombies.

Of the four reviewers, two of them gave the game a 10/10, and the other two gave it a 9/10. And while Famitsu are not exactly the toughest critics in the video game journalism industry, these scores appear to indicate that we have a lot to look forward to come release day on June 19th.

one of the only reasons I would ever consider owning this device. Super Smash Bros. is in there too. Good job Capcom, as usual.

but they say the content is nearly identical to the GC version...why would anyone want to buy the same game again?
especially when you have to use the [email protected] wiimote

if this isnt proof that the wii is a peice of outdated junk then i dont know what is

For one, it has the extra content added to the other GC ports. Secondly, the graphics and gameplay have improved from the GC version. Thirdly, for $30, you're getting a quality game. And one that I have never played, to be honest. So I, for one, am looking forward to buying this, and am pleased that the game is coming to the Wii.

I'm quite certain that there are plenty others who feel the same way.

This is a weak attempt to squeeze any juice they can out of a 2 year old game. It's just sad. The Wii-mote is a gimmick. Given more time people will see this. If you want the extra content, buy the ps2 version used for 10 bucks.

Is Halo 2 on PC "a weak attempt to squeeze any juice they can out of a xx year old game. It's just sad."?

Maybe Ninja Gaiden Sigma is "a weak attempt to squeeze any juice they can out of a xx year old game. It's just sad."

Or perhaps all of XBLA, PSN, and VC also a weak attempt to squeeze any juice they can out of a xx year old game.

Any remake of a game is that also just another weak attempt...

It's a great game that also just can out a PC a few months ago, why not expand this quality title to more platforms?

yeah and this will probably be the best graphics you will ever see on the wii, [email protected] they must be pushing the console to the limits!

It's nothing more than a GC port.

ITR4799d ago

It includes all the extra content from the PS2 verison, but with the better GC visuals.

So I wouldn't call it an exact port especially with the Wii controls now.
