Sony Corp.'s Gran Turismo 5 for the Playstation 3 will be sold at U.S. retail in Mar. 2010 according to an updated retail listing.
YUM YUM YUM To bad for Forza 3, It can't compare to this YUM YUM YUM GABETHEHUT is Hungry
Forza isn't going to compete with GT5, GT5 is going to compete with Forza. If you haven't noticed, Forza is about to come out, and will have the market to itself for 5 months, which is more than enough. It might persuade some sony fanboys to buy an xbox to play it. Btw, your new account isn't funny. It's really played out. I bet some of the people that are making fun of his weight are actually overweight themselves.
That's great, but what about the EU release? which if I'm not mistaken is gt's biggest fanbase.
I guess Sony is going to start 2010 off even better than 2009. And Heavy Rain is still to come. Man it's good to be a gamer.
Although I'm in Canada, I must agree Europe respects GT way more than JP/NA
Just hope there isn't another delay. Seriously, I'm still kind of sceptical about that March release window.
Im jumping with joy if they're releasing US and Japan in March, I'm pretty sure that they will release the game to their biggest fanbase in March also. @StanLee There was never an official release date before this.
When was the first release date so there can be a second delay
A number of release windows have been alluded to since '07. Even with the announcement there isn't a firm release date. Just a window.
GT5, GOW3, Mod Nation Racers and FFXIII. Good stuff. Good stuff
so it will be 3 1/2 years in the ps3 cycle and not onc decent exclusive racing game. Next year probably will be time to buy a ps3 mini for $150.
YUM YUM YUM 2 forza in one Gen is something Yum Yum Forza was rushed Yum Yum GT5 plays and looks better Yum Yum Forza 3 looks like one of my rushed projects Yum Yum Sony likes to come up and have there game as less glitchy as F3
Personally, one amazing, complete game with a lot of content is better than multiple decent, but incomplete games with less content.
Well it does have more cars than forza 1 and 2 combined. So in a way it is 2 games in one and possibly the only racer anyone will ever need.
@talltony Maybe 800 cars with 20 brands and 10 different models each and rest just B$ color/style changes. It might appeal to pubescent teens who have never driven a real car in life but as for me i have a v8 6.0 car myself and would not like to be caught dead driving a toyota corolla or nissan sunny in real life let alone a racing game.
More cars with full incar views which you can physically look around is worse than less cars with a incar view zoomed up to the Steering wheel so close like a old lady is driving? Haha lmao. Nice spin.
Will be a good birthday present for me.:}
Since when is less development time better than more? if im not mistaken when a dev spends more time on a game that is when gamers and fans should be happy as the quality will be high and its complete. If GTA was released every 2 years then the quality would be better than a 3-4 year development time. if MGS4 was release in 2006 in time for PS3 launch then it would be better than the one released. But i guess what ever MS does is right these days. Im amazed at how people can stick to a company that says F*** U to their face.
I got a feeling that this isn't quite true. Japan March 2010...confirmed. Kaz stated that the other markets (as if to be released almost the same day in EU and NA) will be shortly thereafter. So I assume probably April or May 2010 at the latest. Granted, I would not be against a global release by any means. LoL @ a disagree based on something that isn't confirmed. I said I want this to be true sheesh, so harsh.
I agree with your statement. Most retailers play it by ear anyways and give a release date to get preorders. Since March was a confirmed date for Japan release some retailers are thinking they might get it in March as well. Until Sony themselves suggests the date, then they are rumors and should be treated as such. FYI... a game is not delayed unless Sony set a firm release date and then pushed it back and if you read the playstation blog they normally will tell you if they are releasing it early or delaying it, especially with a high profile games such as Gran Turismo 5.
Great to hear. This is another must-have...
Many games for an only Month
Yeah march will be hell for my wallet
declaring Jihad on my wallet.
awesome.... too bad ill be in basic training during march...
My wallet is screaming already God Of War 3 Gran Turismo 5 Battlefield Bad Company 2
it's not going to be pretty..well the games are.
Go to Gamestop site and they have it listed for 2/2/10, not March. so who is telling the truth???
... to many amazing exclusive AAA games coming to the PS3 bettewn january to march of 2010 and that will make many costumers to go buy an exclusive game such GT5 or GoD of War 3 instead some thing else. I bet that companies like Activision wil talk "loud"with SOny once again but this time will not be to drop even more the price of the console PS3 but to stop launching so many 1st/2nd party games on every month !
Yet I don't care, because it will take that long to finish 100% of it. The true racing simulator. The defenite most superb racing game that no other will touch.
THE REAL DRIVING SIMULATOR WILL BE WITH US ONCE AGAIN ALONG WITH GRAN TURISMO ON PSP.
Bioshock 2 & SC:C Feb ME2 & GT5 March. GT% and SC:C definitely day one - a busy few months
Sony needs to move GT5 to February or April. March belongs to God of War III.
Yes having all your first party titles in the same month doesnt seem like a wise business decision. Surely after all the delays they could at least work out a decent release shedule.
I wonder whether this is correct but Gamestation have GT5 listed for release 09/12/09 for the UK. Also GAME and some other sites have the same date.
Sony officially confirmed Gran Turismo 5's release for 1st quarter 2010 at one of their conferences over a month ago. This retail data shown in this article could be an unofficial specific date confirmation, but don't get too happy.
This game should be moved to Valentine's Day 2010. Why? That way, when your love asks you for a new car, you can say to her: "Look, honey! (hands wifey GT5) I got you 1,000 cars and a racing wheel! I even wrapped it in a nice bow and put some chocolates on the pedals =) Happy Valentine's Day, hun!" lol
I'd simply say "get a job. Go find some other sucker with deep pockets and no balls" Tom Leykis 101 4Ever!!!
duh, obviously it was a joke
I don't consider it a good business decision for Sony to release such highly rated titles in the same month. They're going to be hurting each other's sales potentials. How many people do you know that are going to spend 130 dollars in one month on video games. I will only be able to choose one of those titles. Sony should not have done this. Had they spread the game releases out over the course of 2010, they would basically be releasing one AAA title every month (MAG, The Last Guardian, Heavy Rain, God of War III, GT5, and I assume Resistance 3, Infamous 2[maybe], Motorstorm 3[maybe], and a few more). GT5 and God of War III are very big franchises for Sony. They should re-evaluate the release date. I can wait another month of God of War III. EDIT: I use the term AAA loosely out of optimism. For all I know the games could suck, but I doubt it.
