All major tom is saying really is that the developers lied, this wasnt one little porkie, they basically lied about the whole game, 10x the poly count, unmatched physics, unmatched damage, the ultimate racing sim of the generation. Dont get me wrong i have the LE preordered and will enjoy every second of it, but like tom i understand that the game will not live up to the hype that the DEVELOPERS created because the things they said about the game are lies, even some of the cars have doubles with different paint, which you can do anyway, so basicaly get the game enjoy it for what it is, forza 2 wasnt the ultimate sim but it was fun and so will forza 3

Turn 10 didn't lie about anything, any idiot can see Forza 3 has a far higher poly count than Forza 2, we have no way to know if it actually is 10X the count but from looking it seems possible. The physics ARE unmatched so far this gen, and from what people who have played GT5 have said, Forza 3 physics are superior to even that game. I dont recall T10 ever saying they had the best damage of this gen, and Forza 3 IS arguably the definitive sim of this gen since it has more and better features than GT5 as far as we know.

So cut it out dude your just saying what you did because your just another one of the dozens of PS3 fanboys on this site who all say the same thing day in and day out, we expect no different from you.

Your GS means little, but to respond to the only real points of substance in your rant, no I have not seen the glitches in the Forza3 demo, but that does not mean they arent there, it also does not mean Forza 3 does not have the best driving physics of this gen, if the game code has a glitch here and there, how does that mean the driving physics are not good, I fail to see the connection. Further more, whos to say GT5 won't be even more glitchy? I know past GTs have had their fair share of glitches.
And last, the Forza3 demo was just that, a demo, whos to say the glitches will be in the final build?

As for damage, like T10 said, they are limited by the manufacturers in the damage they can do to the cars, and Poly most likely will be as well.

You see, its not what consoles you own that makes you a fanboy, its the crap you spew on the internet. And Im sorry but anyone who claims either GT5 or Forza is hugely better than the other is most likely a fankid, the games are too close to one another in greatness and neither is a bad game.

can't wait for this game, and this roster is so diverse. Some sims like to repeat the same cars over and over, or have one make, like say Nissan, and have 50 different models or 20 different versions of the same model, just so they can claim they have more cars. Ultimately that only hurts the consumer.

I guess we can treat that as a positive point for Non-HDD 360 Arcade users. They will have less cars therefore less repeats. And it's not just cars too, they wont have to worry about those 29 extras tracks either. Which was chop up to increase their total track counts. 3 full tracks turning into 29 tracks? That's almost 1 track turning into 10. T_T

Also I just notice that the 3 track pack on Disc 2 is 730.4 MB. Does anyone know if you can install just 1 of those tracks, or do you need to install all 3 or none at all? I'm asking this because, if you only have a 512mb memory unit you will be out of luck. What about the car packs? They at under 500mb per pack, which could fit into a 512mb memory unit. But are you allow to just install a couple from the Asian pack and a couple from American pack or would it be all or none at all?

actually... the skylines are all tuned differently... producing different torque and horsepowers.. sure they have different body decals also... but each car has specified performance parts from the different houeses... .. Mines.. I think.

and its not 20 variations of the old skyline... they have 3 or 4 each of the R32... R33.. R34.. R35... you get the picture

Seems like they cut a lot of the old crap cars no-one ever used, and gave us some new crap instead (SUVs and green cars).

Overall it's a good list, but still with glaring omissions. No Escort Cosworth, no Ford Capri, no Mk1 MR2.

I know we are never satisfied, but I think if they wanted to add SUVs and green cars, that they needed to be pushing around 500 cars, as Forza 2 was already around 350

The cars of disc 1 and 2? I thought one disc was gonna have the simulation and one the arcade like GT2 did. So in order to use a certain car i gotta insert that disc? That would blow. Anyway not a bad list i've seen better but i guess it gets the job done. One of my favourates are strangely missing. The 2007 Nissan GT-R i mean they got the Xanavi version but that's not the same.

Oh yeah just saw the HKS EVO and it made me smile.

Yeah i played the F3 demo and while it's an ok game on it's own merrit i felt the urge after seeing the HKS EVO pics to post it as it put a smile on my face. Didn't mean to bring anyone down i was just sharing i guess.

Oh yeah and on your customization comment.

So i'd hold off on that comment until we know the depth of what they have planned for GT5. While i doubt if they do a liverly option it will be as deep as Forza has i believe that performance wise (Where it really matters) where gonna be in for something.
