I played this on the Dreamcast a million years ago. Time for something new.

Limited_Vertigo5314d ago

A million years and you still aren't ready for another go?

It had only been a couple years since my last play through of FF7 but when it was made available on the PSN I bought it that night.

Games we've enjoyed from the past still have a place in the present. I guess with you it takes over a million years.

droid and bot5314d ago

remember that leaked SEGA document ?
it looks like this is one of those games

Afreelunch5314d ago

This game has been out on UMD since 2007. It's just getting re-released on PSN for the PSP GO. We probably won't be seeing those rumored dreamcast titles for a while yet if they turn out to be true.

If you want to check this game out, it's called Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars, and you can get a used UMD copy pretty cheap most places. It's a blast, but crazy taxi always is :)

"This game has been out on UMD since 2007"

"We probably won't be seeing those rumored dreamcast titles for a while yet if they turn out to be true."

Crazy Taxi 1 and 2 in a single release?
Arcade and console versions as well?

Dunno about you guys, but count me sold!

Good work SEGA! Now release another one :)

soxfan20055314d ago

This has been available on UMD for a while now.

darthv725314d ago

i think it was called fare wars and included the first and second game.

This is a digital version of a umd game. Guess what...there is likely to be many more digital releases to come...can we get a post for each one when it happens?

ambientFLIER5314d ago (Edited 5314d ago )

Yep. Seems like the only good games coming from sony are old dreamcast ones.

Afreelunch5314d ago (Edited 5314d ago )

This is hardly news, it's just one of the many titles getting a digital release for PSP GO. I found a used copy a couple months ago for fifteen bucks, and yes, it has the first two crazy taxi games on it.

SuperStrokey11235314d ago

I was actually playing the UMD for this today. Great game but the pull the music from the first one for some reason. No more offspring and bad religion for those who care.

Point 2 is irrelevant, an update has been released so that your downloads still carry on even if you manually go into standby

i dontknow if anyone knows this but if you hold down L while on the browser, it stops the page from going up or down and lets you highlight stuff. just saying.

The Perfect SEGA E3 Lineup for Fans

SEGAone.com writes: "With the industry’s mega event, the Electronic Entertainment Expo, set to kick-off on the 15th, there’s a lot of speculation about what surprises will be unveiled at the mega-convention. Many publishers have already revealed their game lineups publicly, while others have kept a tight lid on the subject of E3. We wanted to look at a troubled publisher who once was at the top of the hardware and software biz, but has seen some issues lately. Mainly we wanted to run down the titles we think could quickly turn around the company’s fortunes and set the ship of the once great SEGA back onto the right course.

I like the idea of a new Phantasy Star JRPG, but the traditional JRPG genre is dying. Even Final Fantasy is going in the direction of the Western RPG. Maybe that is why XIII got negative feedback though? Nevermind, maybe it is a good idea.

Anarki5075d ago

Final Fantasy needs to go back to its roots instead of making what AMERICA want. Everyone is expecting JRPG's from Square Enix, why make WRPG?

BattersUp5075d ago

I want either Phantasy Star or a new Valkyria Chronicles.

hatchimatchi5075d ago

FFXIII isn't anything like a wrpg. It's a streamlined experience for a jrpg. Yes it's different from the norm but it's nothing like a wrpg.

SaiyanFury5074d ago

Japanese developres need to understand that we don't want JRPGs like FF13, we want *actual* JRPGs. I don't think the genre is dying, but I think it's becoming once again the niche genre that it was before Final Fantasy VII. The genre (in my opinion) was most golden on the original PlayStation where I was always expecting a new game at any given time. Now, I can't say the same. I can see things coming, but don't always have interest. Japan has stepped down the production of JRPGs on the main consoles and favours the cheap portables which I have far less interest in. I hold a hope that eventually the main JRPG developers will come around. I'd love to see a new Breath of Fire from Capcom. :)

If Sega goes bankrupt, and doesn't make Shenmue III, then it's their own fault. Everyone wants that game.

hatchimatchi5075d ago

Well,

Shenmue fans want the game, everyone else doesn't really care.

GunShotEddy5075d ago

Sega will be owned by Nintendo in a couple years. Who cares.

vgn245075d ago

That is one of the most ignorant things I've seen on this site. And sadly I've seen it more than once. Whatever grudge or ignorance you have towards or about Sega; you need to get over it. Nintendo Won't own Sega. Sega's simply too big.

baraka0075075d ago

Phantasy Star and Shenmue 3 would be awesome but very doubtful... maybe Phantasy Star if we're lucky but Shenmue 3 I just don't see it happening.

Stealth20k5075d ago

This would be perfect for fans. Not that other crap
