SEGA has treated fans to an entire collection of Shinobi music with this 4-disc set. It contains music from the arcades, mark III, Game Gear, and Sega Genesis versions of the game, featuring music of game composer Yuzo Koshiro. It's now on sale in Japan, and OSV has impressions of the collection.
The Terminator? Batman? Godzilla? They were all part of the weird mix in Sega’s Revenge of Shinobi.
Lets make a fun Shinobi.
How?
By putting all these popular icons as bosses and mini bosses.
Hum...
I like Shadow Dancer but this is my favorite Shinobi game.
During the 90s, I started to see lots of ideas taken from the west movies.
Not too long ago, DATA DISCS released vinyl LPs for various Sega games. Streets of Rage, Shenmue, Shinobi III, and Super Hang-On were all up for grabs in this limited run series of old-school Master System, Genesis and Dreamcast game soundtracks. They quickly sold out but are back in-stock for a very limited time.
Street of Rage 1-3 were the kind of games that cranked out lots of bass. That music was so good back then, it still is, even today. I was lucky enough to own a genesis with the 3.5 jack.

Have you ever encountered a situation where you have a problem to solve and every solution that your stupid brain throws at you is more ridiculous than the last? It’s just brainfart after brainfart until it gets to the point where some of the weirder ideas actually seem to start making sense?
It happens to everyone and it seems like videogame developers are as susceptible to it as anyone else. The only difference is that once they reach the point where every crazy concept starts to look like a good idea, they have the platform to bring their what’s happening in their minds to a massive audience.
