Dead Rising, Lost Planet Highlight Capcom Year

Sales and operating income were up at Osaka, Japan-based Capcom for the full year thanks in part to Dead Rising and Lost Planet, but net income declined overall.

Sales were up 6.1 percent to 74.5 billion yen ($615.3 million) for the year ended March 31 on the sales of titles such as Dead Rising and Lost Planet for Xbox 360 and Monster Hunter Freedom 2nd for PSP.

Operating income received a 45.9 percent boost coming in at 9.6 billion yen, while net income dropped 15.7 percent to 5.8 billion yen.

Capcom almost didn't make either Dead Rising or Lost Planet.
