I'm one of the few who didn't detest the first game but this is in another league(quite liked the dojo hub and shooting gallery and also quite liked having some splitscreed duals for a change too in the original)and promises to do the things the first failed at totally with the swordplay inparticular.

It's really sad that it didn't make this year though as the Wii could habe used a game like this around Xmas.

Yea bummer this being delayed, but prolly for the better. A lot of games got delayed though which almost is a bad thing since the holidays are so important for the video game business. I mean this, Bioshock, etc. could have been helped with holiday sales.

Hope this game sells, they are putting alot of work into it. Might not though, you have a lot of core Wii owners who just don't buy games a lot of the time.

i certainly hope so, i'm tired shaking my controller around like a prat. If the motion in the game that im copying is related to waggle (like grabbing a meerkat by the throat and shaking it to extract information) then fine, but usually it isn't! usually its like 'run down this alley really fast using waggle, GO' totally unrelated.

Waggle = button mash. To think it's built in is moronic. You try waggling in bikini zombie slayers or wii sports resort or boom blox or mercury meltdown revolution, Just try it.

I'm really hoping this can be AAA the more we hear the more it sounds possible. I am most amazed that the crisp style holds steady at above 60fps but can top off at 80. Damn that's fluid! They better get it right this time so i can justify my excitement for this.

Yeah...I'm still worried that Ubi could find a way to screw this up.

But the boast on "waggle" isn't much of a boast, IMO, because Nintendo has already fixed this. The sword fighting in WSR was anything but waggle.

Considering what Wii 3rd parties have to contend with, in terms of marketing and hype share in most game media, they realistically have to do this. Its the only way they can actually generate enough interest.

WSR Sword fighting is perfect therefore this has got pretty odds in terms of matching it.

sword fight in first red steel was horrible, but i liked the game..
wii sports resort has a great sword combat
and i hope that this game will be good AAA title, I am looking really really forward into this game :)

yeah right I'll believe it when i see it, and that's what the damn system was supposed to stand for in the first place. The people who make these games don't care about that, because the only games that give you freedom of movement are wii sports or wii resort, and the others are just waggle forcing you to do a single moment.
