"Understandably I was excited when the review code found its way to my doorstep, 5 hours later I realised I was still wearing my pyjamas and hadn’t showered, eaten, or brushed my teeth when my ride arrived. Sounds like its going to be a good game right? Either that or I have decided that personal hygiene simply isn’t my bag."
Man you people on here really are mindless morons. Has is ever occurred to you that this game may have some flaws with it, but instead of reporting them each reviewer HAS to say this game is perfect because of the backlash (i.e. loss of website credibility) that would come from you idiots if the game was not rated at a 10? Can't you all see that you (the gaming community) are the ones responsible for this game being a 10? Man talk about mindless robots. You all suck!

@ DominusRebellis
That never stopped bad reviews before did it? Why would that, out of the blue, start happening now?

Every game has flaws in it and yes that "has is" occurred to me (couldn't resist). Thanks for the update. But that doesn't seem to stop sites like Edge from dishing out some rather disproportionate scores to 360 games compared to PS3 games. You telling me that those flaws are only present in PS3 games? PS3 exclusive games mind you which, regardless of what you think about multiplats, are 99.9% of the time the superior games.
Now if you or I have a preference for one console's games over the others then that's fine. It's our right as a consumer. But when a publication holds itself out there as being fair and unbiased (welcome to the O'Reilly No Spin Zone), I don't think we're precluded from critiquing a review when a) the aggregiate score for the game is substantially higher on other sites and b) that site/mag has a history of underscoring games on that console.
Callahan did the research that I'm too lazy to do on Edge and it's astounding. Their track record speaks for itself.
Now here's where I get all fanboyish. Were I in charge of Sony I would blackball them and Eurogamer. Whatever their beef if with Sony they need to let it go. Maybe that means firing some fanboys (see Gamespot, Kotaku, and 1up) or become an Xbox only mag.
The influx of 10's pouring in for this game is incredible. The game will be a blast and anyone who deems to call themselves a gamer should get this game day 1.
"Cinematic sequences are always touch and go, some (in my humble and uneducated opinion) go overboard with too many fancy pre rendered graphics making it so distantly removed (or improved) from the gameplay that it feels disconnected. Others have them occurring far too frequently, some use the in-game engine and camera for a more immersive and coherent experience, but might look like a steaming pile of the proverbial in comparison to its competition. Uncharted 2 strikes a balance in that it creates a unique visual method of story telling and drama"
...is brilliant which this review clearly conveys. However, this is yet another NZ gaming site failing NZ gamers with its review of multiplayer. I appreciate that its not quite there yet but what about what is there. What about the all too important, yet nearly always overlooked, lobby system!?!
Living in NZ a good lobby system can make or break a multiplayer game. If you can't do local searches or list available games and your connection to them then more often than not lag will prevail. Given the small install based in NZ (and OZ) its important that those who do try the online are encouraged to come back and keep playing. Too much lag and players will move onto something else which just further exacerbates the problem.
I hope Buttonmasher, and other NZ/OZ gaming sites, update their reviews to convey how good the lobby system is (or isn't) when the games hits retail and on-line activity increases.
Finally, I really wish Buttonmasher would provide some sort of score chart to help provide some context to how the game compares (or not) to other games in the same genre.
I suggest you BABOONS sell off your crap 360 console now because there is NOTHING on the 360 worth playing....AHAHAHAHAHHAHAA.... HA
this is gettin ridiculous. UC2 GOTY confirmed
