Co-Optimus' Halo 3: ODST Co-Op Review

Co-Optimus: I'll admit right here and now that the Halo franchise is one of my favorite franchises in gaming. I was hooked from day one when the original was released, as I spent an entire weekend playing it in co-op with my college roommate. Now we've arrived at our fifth Halo title, and the fourth shooter in the series with Halo 3: ODST, and while Master Chief's story may have come to an end there's still plenty of lore left in the Halo universe. But like many, I was a bit skeptical as to whether or not a change in characters and formula would work.

Thanks for letting us know you're a certified RRODbot, what this does is it makes your review score lack credibility.

You do get props for being honest about your love for Green Ranger.

He lacks credibility and is an xbot because he has a different opinion than yours? Wait, I already know your answer to that one. Carry on masturbating to that sony logo on your desktop, it would be rude of me to interrupt you.

UNCyrus3945d ago

Next time don't admit that this is one of your favorite gaming franchises in the opening lines. It makes your score lack credibility.

It was a good review though .

I still can't see why I would buy a 6 hour campaign over a game like Borderlands or Dragon age... I guess if you don't have any of the DLC then it's a good value but if you do it seems kinda... Well whatever.

jinx did you buy heavenly sword?

Actually yes I did. You do have a point. However tat was 2 years ago and my standards have risen since then.

I got burned a lot last year with every hyped game winding up in my collection. Far Cry 2, Mirrors edge and others which... while not especially bad games are just not good enough. HS is good for the 30$ used it's at now though. My point still stands though. Is it worth it? I don't think so. Unless you have the money to burn which I don't...

Truth is I agree with Marcus Beer onthis one as well. Good guy with a lot of history in gaming. Thats just the truth man

Because it comes out before those games.

However ODST has received scores ranging from 7/10 to 9/10. On metacritic, it's score is 85. This game is not AAA. In terms of sales it will be, but that's because there are so many Halo fans that are too blind to realize how much they are being scammed.
Heck, Demons Souls has a better metacritic than ODST and it wasn't even hyped (it's 90 atm and hasn't even been reviewed by IGN or GT yet).
The only AAA exclusive 360 has this year is Forza 3 which will be something special.
And next year..well I dunno. Splinter Cell isn't exclusive...especially seeing as you can buy it on PC and even Nintendo DS http://images.pricecanada.c...
