Of course the price has done a wonderful job for Sony. With AAA exclusives pouring in from all directions, Sony will come pretty close to their 13 million sales target.

When the Wii drops its price I think ps3 sales will fall back in line. With incredible games like Wii sports, wii play, wii sports resort, wii fit, I think that the Wii gives you the best games. Its obvious that ps3 slim was a last ditch effort before Sony pulls the plug on their games division. The lack of inovation with Ps3 games is glaring. They are just juiced up graphics on an old ps2 game. I think now that blu ray has taken over, they will dump the games division and stick to blu ray movies. The wii has the most impressive games as far as gameplay, and the most games. Sales=best games. Period. Ps3 will never catch the wii and the games will never catch wii sports or wii play. Don't deny it. Facts are facts. Wii sports #1.

Admit it, you know that the wii is the most dominant video game system this gen. Numbers don't lie. There is no way that the ps3 catches them, none. I still fail to see in what way Wii is in the same generation than the PS3.

Hardware wise Wii is competing with the PS2. So formally Wii still has to beat PS2 sales.

Xbox fans irritate me but wii fans are on a different level. 360 fans actually are fans of a system that has a great online system, and the console itself has some good games on it. The wii belongs in the last generation. Wii sports, wii sports resort, wii fit, wii music, wii play are not proper games. They're mini games designed for casual gamers that have the attention span of a walnut. A doubt there's anyone who doesn't get bored of those games after a week or two. Nintendo have just released the console and sat on their asses this entire generation as they rake the money in. And to think people are fans of them for it. The wii sells the most because its a cheap gimmick, but it is the worst place to go if you want a fulfilling game experience. If anyone feels differently to me, bear in mind im not going to reply to you. I can't deal with wii fanboys. What the hell are they fanboys of?

PS3 Slim was the best decision Sony has ever made, they got something new out there as the others still selling the old versions of their hardware.

Its like they relaunched the PS3 after selling 20+ million already at 599.99/499.99/399.99 price points.

Now imagine what a 299.99 with bundles will do?, Sony is the leader

The Wii might b very successful by just selling more systems,Casual games n stuff, I don't think its that dominant because 1- Most third Party games sells poorly on Wii(except for Guitar Hero n others), 2-Wii is the least played system compared to the others 3-Same old Gamecube Technology with motion sensing added to it 4-worst online service 5-Same old franchises( Mario, Pokemon, Zelda, Metroid, but glad they brought PunchOut back) I think this gaming gen is mostly driven by Sony & Microsoft. Last but not least, by saying same old technology with motion sensing, the Wii should b cheaper than $200!!! just My opinion!!!

even if it was written properly as "why the PS3 slim is driving sales of the PS3".... why wonder? isn't it obvious? is a $100 price cut and re-design that makes the system more energy-efficient, smaller (and lighter) and it comes equipped with a hard drive that's a 50% improvement over the previous dominant model... which was $100 more expensive

I loved the wii, but as soon as I got the Xbox 360 the wii was barely touched, and now that I got the PS3 I only use the wii for virtual console.

The fact is that both 360, and PS3 brings far better entertainment, and games.

So you are saying that the Gamecube does have the ability to check whether, emulate every Nintendo console prior, and has a 749 MHz processor? ok.

Nintendo systems were never meant to serve any other purpose than to play games, pure and simple. By that logic, the Gamecube should be in the same class as the N64 and Playstation as it does not even have a real DVD drive for 8cm disc at all. I'll give you the Blu-ray argument though.

Timmy was being sarcastic. I'm not surprised that that fact flew by your head considering you lack, there of, of actual grammer. This generation is still under way to even judge the sales anyway. As for the PS2 being more powerful than the Wii...

All I'm gonna say is that you really need to do more research on hardware specs before you make such statements like that. Even the Gamecube is more powerful than the PS2.
