Before Scribblenauts' release, Mike of Mike Got Game made a few unflattering observations about the title's gameplay in another blog. Because of the massive hype surrounding Scribblenauts, people (including a supposed 5th Cell staffer) weren't pleased. In fact, some were furious. Now that the reviews are out, it seems that that the observations were right! Mike Got Game gloats about the turn of events.
Scribblenauts has long been a series lauded for its wealth of adjectives and nouns. Sometimes, it's astounding to discover exactly how far this can go, and that's why we have gone to the trouble of scouring for the most obscure and curious words that somehow yield results.
Matt from FuzzyPixels presents a list of the top five puzzle games of all time, as well as handing out a couple of special awards.
Having recently found out about Scribblenauts, the fate of 5th Cell is hard to witness.
the problem of scribblenauts is that it just couldn't work on Playstation/Xbox... Nintendo, PC and Mobile was not enough to support the franchise
get over yourself
No game is perfect. This game is fun enough that a few minor problems really don't hurt it enough to ruin the experience.
please bring the self stroking to the Open Zone --->
I haven't played the game, and would love to, but my friend who was VERY ANXIOUS to play this game is disappointed. Why? While there are about 22,000 different items, there are only a few dozen behaviors. Really, you can only interact with the game in a few different ways, but there are thousands of skins for each interaction.
I might be wrong though. Like I said, I am basing this off of a very good gaming friend I have.
It's a fun lighthearted game. Great for kids old enough to spell or adults who can still get in touch with their "inner kid".
It's not a serious game to be analyzed and dissected like some are doing. Sure you could view some of the objects as just "skins" but it still allows the player to exercise their imagination, try to come up with something new and original, and then see it happen.
