Never played a Layton game myself but all this hype around it makes me want to check it out.

Layton can be frustrating with some puzzles, but overall it's some great gaming puzzles that utilize the stylus pretty well, much better in the second game even, and has an interesting set of characters to boot.

Exactly, it's looks like a run-of-the-mill point and click ordeal but there is much more to the Layton games.

I can't wait to see what they do with the movie that's coming out. It seems like a perfect candidate for that sort of thing.

A movie? If it had a similar art style than perhaps, but if it's going to be live action I don't think it will work well.

No it is definetely not live action. It'll use the same art style as the game.

No, please no movie after this, but as ELven says, if it's the same art style maybe it could be a cartoon serious, or a animated one.
