Gaming addiction is a 'problem of pandemic proportions'

Gaming can be very addictive but the problem is that it's not quite yet a socially acceptable addiction unlike cigarettes or alcohol etc.

Yeah, it's all about being socially accepted. I don't think even TV and movies are quite there yet - you still get nutjob preachers in the nasty parts of Texas laying on the "tool of the anti-Christ" crap...
