Review: Supercar Challenge | GamesAreEvil.com

GrE writes, "One thing that people need to realize right away is that this game lies firmly in the "driving simulation" category. If you love Burnout style racers where you can powerslide around corners doing 150MPH while using a nitrous boost to overtake the lead car, then this almost certainly isn't the game for you. Even on the most basic of difficulty settings the game still feels like a driving simulation. Sure, it'll hold your hand for you and won't let you spin out if you approached a corner too fast and forgot to brake, but you can still see the game's target audience. This is aimed directly at the gamers out there who love the challenge of learning a car inside out, understanding its strengths and weaknesses, knowing exactly how far you can push it before it gets away from you, and then using that knowledge to attack the various tracks as aggressively as possible..."

Sounds a seriously hardcore racing sim! Nice to see on a console though

But it is fairly accessible to the casual if you use all of the assists.

I love a good racing sim, but I kinda like using the low end cars at first... they should add them in DLC.

Haly5714d ago

DLC would be great to see!

Neco5125714d ago

why would you want to add crappy cars to a game called Supercar Challenge... are you thick?

"If you love Burnout style racers where you can powerslide around corners doing 150MPH"

...yes, I do, tell me more, sir.

"then this almost certainly isn't the game for you"

Sad Hippo. :(

Sweet looking game. Awful, awful name.

Its the second best looking racer on the PS3 after GT5(p). And the only one besides that which does 1080@60fps. (that said, after I got disappointed with NFS:S which doesn't even come close).

Actually, its not just the second best looking racer. Its the second based racing sim, also.

Wait why is this under PC if this is a PS3 exclusive?

Simon's Quest is better than Symphony.

Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.

Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.
