Gran Turismo PSP shines in 60FPS video

Richard Leadbetter from Digital Foundry at Eurogamer writes:

"Having had a taster of the portable experience at gamescom a few weeks back and coming away very impressed, I was very eager to check it out. Very little in the way of actual, tangible assets have emerged, with Sony's own E3 reveal shying away from showing the actual game, and this is rather odd, because even as a non-professional video editor, armed with around 30 minutes of raw video captures, I was able to put this trailer together, showing that - at its best - GT PSP can look quite spectacular."

Because ever since Turn 10 decided they had the right to try to take a jab at PD at every chance they got, and they decided they couldn't mention their own game without mentioning the competition (very much like Microsoft), then we have every right to bring them into this comparison. Turn 10 can only talk smack because they cannot outperform PD and Gran Turismo.

LOL GT PSP has more cars on one UMD than Forza 3 does on 2 DVDs.

See? We have every reason to tank on Forza.

I can make a ps1 game run at 60FPS on my pc, still makes it nothing more then a ps1 game.

Isn't there a odst or project anal that you can go cheerlead for. You can make 360 game 60fps too but thier still 540p. I think my sega game gear had better res than the 360.

RUF confirmed in GT5 and the Ford R200. GT5 and GTpsp are shaping up to be amazing especially with the car trading between games. October 1st can't come quick enough let alone TGS. WOOOOOOOO can you tell im excited.

My only concern with this game is only 4 cars in a race. I just wonder how compelling that will be. I somehow fear that every race will result in me being way out in front, racing alone.

i thought you must of been lying, so i looked it up and sadly you're right.... whilst the game will still be fun, it will feel less like the GT real driving experience that we all know and love and to be honest thats a real letdown.

Pretty games are nice to look at but looking good isn't everything, i'd much rather have "Good" looking cars with 6-8 on track racers, then 4 great looking cars altogether.

Agreed! Also, I don't see why for the PSP version Polyphony couldn't have just opted for a smooth 30fps framerate and have 8 cars instead of 60fps with 4 cars. To me that would be better.

people are so ignorant when they say this will compete with forza 3...when it doesnt even compete to forza 2.

in forza 2 i can customize the brakes shock fly wheel engine block turbo supercharger intake radiator wheels tires..much much more....plus the insanity of the customization option is forza 3

when people want a racing game first thing they ask is can you customize the car.....ill point them toward forza 2 or forza 3 coming out.

gt5 will be amazing...just sad about no release date no demos....still nothing....
