The latest speculation surrounding Factor 5 is that the company will finish development on two Wii projects in 2009, one of which may be Pilotwings.
If this is true, it is great news. We need a goo ol fassion Pilotwings, that game was great, an with factor 5 making it, how could we go wrong?
The way NA review sites ragged on such an iconic development team, causing the company to close it's NA branch and have their employees lose jobs, all for the love of competing company incentives and idiotic flamewars, was totally unjust and shows just how out of hand editorial reviewing has become in the industry. I wonder what that multiplatform game could be. Turrican Perhaps?... meh, yet another FPS.
I wish they would do it at least on the other 2 platforms I want to attack the Death Star in HD.
Weren't most(if not all) of Factor 5's assets transferred to the newly formed White Harvest? Remember the whole litigation thing with unpaid employees? Remember?
“Factor 5 GmbH, which has been creating games since 1988 with its headquarters in Cologne, Germany, is entirely unrelated to Factor 5, Inc. and the circumstances surrounding Factor 5 Inc’s recent challenges.” http://www.edge-online.com/... "Factor 5’s USA division (Factor 5 Inc.) has officially closed its doors." http://www.siliconera.com/2...
Thanks, ET- I knew I wasn't crazy. What the hell is all of this rumor and circumstance about, then? Is Nintendo maybe attempting to recover some of these mystery assets to hand them off somewhere else, or could White Harvest be N's new suitor?
