PS3: Cheers & Tears: Action Games (Best and Worst Action Games)

These are the dog days of summer and as such pickings are slim for new videogames. What better time to look at the PlayStation 3's sizable library and find the very best games to play? Over the summer, we're going to take a look at a bevy of gaming genres and determine the five games everyone needs to play. And to complement that, we're giving you three games to avoid (or throw away).

When it comes to variety, few genres give you as much in one title as straight-up action games. Shooting, fighting, driving, climbing and oh so much more are a part of many of the titles on our list, so it's no wonder that they're one of the most popular types of games to play in the industry. But, with so many to choose from, you may want to know which to play and which to avoid, yes? Let's start with the best, but feel free to leap to the terrible stuff on page two...

PS3 has the best games around this Gen. Any TRUE gamer can acknowledge that.

Joke article.

GTA4 should be in the "Queers" section.

A great list of action games for those that just picked up a PS3. Playing Batman: AA, and man it brings me to tears. Oh, how long I awaited for a developer to make a Good Batman game, and I must say it was worth the wait.

Also, This list is only gonna get bigger with Uncharted 2,Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, God of War Collection, God Of War 3, Agent and whatever action games Sony has cookin up for us.

‘GTA V Gets Pulled from PS Plus as PC Players Continue to Favor Legacy Over Enhanced’

That’s an awful clickbait title. The use of the word ‘as’ means the first statement is the result of the second, when in reality they’re not connected.

Also the same for red dead redemption 2 and GTA trilogy (albeit they split that into individual games)

Tacoboto1d 4h ago

It just got put back on Game Pass recently too.

GTA V is the pass-around sub title, and it probably doesn't even matter because everyone owns a copy or even two by now.

Noticed my copy of gta5 on Steam was already upgraded without me doing anything. How can you still play the legacy version?

Shiore2u4h ago

There should be a second listing right under it in your library.

Is there anything wrong with the enhanced version if you’re just playing single player?

What If... Destiny 2's Gambit Was a Hit?

In a world where Gambit thrived, Destiny 2’s seasons, storylines, and even its endgame might’ve revolved around PvEvP as a core foundation.

Destiny already has the pretty hyper 'raid' fixation and then they added legendary raid dungeons. Hyperfixating in PvEvP wouldn't work as well because you need a lot more than 2% of the userbase to keep that going unlike raids that are propped up by streamers who make running them their whole job. Most players don't play all the raids let alone run them over and over. And most who play PvP don't want structured PvE elements.
