According to the developers of the popular iPhone game Fieldrunners, porting a game from the iPhone to the PSP is a piece of cake.
Tower Defense wasn’t always the default genre on the App Store. In 2008, developers were struggling to find a fit for the iPhone’s large touchscreen, and ports of old JAVA and BREW mobile games just weren’t cutting it. Subatomic Studios was one of the first studios to publish a quality tower defense game on the App Store, and five years later, we’re still playing the Fieldrunners series.
Fieldrunners was an awesome game, but what about a version of Red Dead Redemption for iOS? am i the only one who thinks that awesome? :I
Chris Buffa (Modojo): It appears that developer Subatomic Studios has been busy, as the developer just announced big news for its Fieldrunners franchise that will definitely please fans and newcomers alike.
Humble Bundle for Android 3 made an astonishing $830,000 with the addition of 4 new games spurring on the sales.
Awesome! Hopefully this encourages more developers and publishers to let the customer set their own price.
excellent
im sure that Sony has considered this when they started the hole thing
now the PSP well be flooded with games
a very smart move Sony
psp phone would be nice, CES 2010 announcement
PSPgo?
Except you still need an SDK and Sony Approval. Most iphone devs (like me) are iphone devs because we can do it on a $100 outlay and have relative freedom in terms of app aproval.
It's interesting though.
There are a few games I'm playing on my iPhone that I would love to see on the psp. For me the virtual controls on the iPhone only barely cut it, real buttons would be a huge plus to me.
