GameSpy writes: "This was the first time that Klei Entertainment showed Shank, so everything was new. Shank is a downloadable title, whose release date and even proposed system is still not confirmed (though my gut tells me it'll be an XBLA and PC title). This 2D action-platformer places you in control of a Rambo-esque hero, guiding him through environments -- where you do wall runs, crazy swings through the air, and even use your knives to scale walls -- in what seems to be an effort to kill anyone who stands in the way. It's a simple premise, but its presented in a beautiful, highly stylized manner that looks like playing through a graphic novel. Throw on top of this brutal yet surprisingly complex combat (that combines chainsaws, guns, knives, and grenades, no less) and Shank immediately becomes something more than just another downloadable title".
