PlayStation Store enhanced further with new "View Modes"

Last year, after the complete PlayStation Store revamp, Sony allowed gamers to change the view mode of the items displayed on the PlayStation Store from just pictures to a list format.

We have now discovered that recently, most likely in 3.0, they have added a further two modes...

They should have a view mode for non-HD users. I don't have an HD TV and PS3 Slim doesn't come with a component cable only composite A/V cable and man, it was so damn hard reading stuff on the PS3. I bought a component cable seperately and everything become quite clear compared to what it was using AV cable.

It would be a nice feature and help many people who do not have an HD TV or Component cable yet. I am not sure if they can do that but if they can, it would be a very nice feature.

I used my PS3 on a non-HD TV for about 6 months before I upgraded to a Sony Bravia 42".

The difference was like night and day.

I strongly suggest you start saving and make the jump yourself asap. You won't regret it.

it's because cable still comes in Standard def, and upgrading to hdtv involves paying more.

Also standard channel doesn't look too good on hdtv.

But yeah, HDtv gaming is way way better.

SD tv looks better on Hd tvs(as you can choose to watch with bars on the side for a square picture), especially as more and more channels broadcast in widescreen. Also youll find with standard cable taht you also get some of the main channels in HD too. I have had standard brighthouse and standard comcast cable and both of them had around 5-10 HD channels for no extra cost.

I dont think it was me who disagreed with you so dont get mad.

Most of the non-HD shows are old shows.

Watching the news, football, other sports, and newer shows in 720p or 1080i looks awesome! >:D

With an HDTV, you can now watch secondary shows on the same channel.

For example, instead of watching channel 4... you can watch channels 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, etc. A lot of the time, they have different programs on the secondary channels.
