ResumePlay's Michael Perry writes: "Everyone knows that Nintendo is winning this competition (in shear numbers) but those seem to be dropping off in the last couple of months. I'm hear to propose a list of things they should do that would help build their numbers up and start appealing to the hardcore crowd again. Now before you start to bombard me with hateful comments, all this article is is a wish list of things that I (myself, me, not the other staff members) would want to see Nintendo do so I have a reason to turn it on again, but I also understand that Nintendo cannot find the computer that they once used to develop hardcore games on because it's blocked by the wall of money in their offices."
Nintendo has announced the SNES and Super Famicom games gracing the Nintendo Switch Online library this month, and there are some gems to enjoy.
Strange headline, as I thought the star of the show was Super RType. I almost bought RType Dimensions EX this last month and was just thinking, man I wish we had the SNES one somewhere on Switch. That's where I got my start w the series and I was beyond excited to see it drop this week!
Following the Wii U and 3DS servers being taken offline, Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and Ghosts are officially dead.
Call of Duty players are jumping into Black Ops 2 for the final time before its Wii U servers go offline for good.
These would certainly help the sales out. While I think the friends list and achievements would be nice...it almost seems like copying off of the other consoles.
Not totally copying...but I don't know...I would like to see the Wii start appealing to hardcore gamers and staying as unique as possible.
Who knows? While I'm not a big fan of the Wii...it's very obvious other people are. It's a great system for most, just not for me. =/
I know a really good thing Nintendo should do but won't... listen to their fans more. Sometimes I just look at something they implement and think "Really, Nintendo? WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!?".
but I find editing mistakes in the first paragraph of a so-called professional article unacceptable.
in Canada, the price of the Wii is $279.99 while PS3 and 360 are $299.99. $20 difference. Everyone who purchases a Wii at this point is retarded.
Namely the online bit. I dare you to compare the reliability of COD: WaW wii to Modern warfare on PS3. I am betting 50 bucks that the wii gets a game going much much faster. Mario kart wii is very quick to find new matches and rarely if ever do those races lag or drop out.
Wii online is pretty reliable there is no reason to make up lies about it. The problem with wii online is it is bare essentialls to online without any of the add ons and goodies of XBox Live or even the ps3's service. Yeah it does provide a level of anominity but the online is not nearly as bad as this author makes it sound.
I mean I agree with majority of these options. Trophieswould be nice. I would love an way to see what friends are playing on startup, A headset would be great (c'monj wii has bluetooth why is there no solid white wii Bluetool headset yet?!?), VC portability is also a no brainer. But your comments on wii online just says to me that you have a bad web connection not that the online sucks.
