Kotaku - Fighting Fantasy Follow-Up Preview: Fear My Stylus

Kotaku: It's been a little more than two months since I last saw Fighting Fantasy – the DS action/adventure RPG based on a choose-your-own-adventure book series of the same name. Here's what's changed since then.

Just in case you missed my last preview, here's a little history lesson. The Fighting Fantasy books were penned back in the late 70s/early 80s by now-game developers Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone. They were pretty popular in the UK, but over here in the US, we liked choose-your-own adventures where not every path but one led to death.

Dang yeah that vid does show an impressive game. I agree this one will be purchased :)

Yer, I was worried that they weren't showing it off because it was being overhyped but the games looks great.

Good to have a WRPG on the DS as well. I might have to check out Orc & Elves as well.

Yeah Orcs and Elves is a fun one :) What I like about this one is that while it's in the first person viewpoint it doesn't look like it's turn based like most of the other handheld fp rpgs.

Yes, they said it's been influenced mostly by Oblivion and similar games and there's definitely similarities in the games.
