The Sims 3 probably won't win over any non believers, but there's certainly more to the Sims than ever before (granted, pets are gone until the appropriate expansion, but hey,) and if its previous iterations sold gangbusters, then this is sure to please a lot of people.
With an expensive backlog of DLC that it struggles to run on modern hardware, The Sims 3 deserves revisiting.
