damn forgot all about indigo prophecy

AridSpider5353d ago

yeah that game was a major over looked game

Blaze9295353d ago

yeah I remember actually passing my copy of the game around to all my friends like I was on the freaking marketing team. The game was just so amazing I felt like I needed to pass that experience on to others and let them know about it.

ProA0075353d ago

Yeah truly. The game got mostly high review scores from the big sites and so far as sold about 800k copies. But I dont ever recall seeing any advertisements for it back in 2005. If it wasnt for the demo, I would have never known about the game.

AridSpider5353d ago

Yeah I dont recalls seeing ads here in Europe either.

Blaze9295353d ago

Yeah but I guess that was just Atari for you. Let's all hope Sony does a better just marketing the game for QuanticDream.

PirateThom5353d ago

Wishful thinking there. :P

I don't think this is the sort of game that benefits from big advertising campaigns anyway, how would you show it off?

Like Indigo Prophecy, word of mouth will probably work more in its favour, because I plan to pick it up day one and, if I like it, tell my friends to buy it (not lend to them, not rental, buy).

RememberThe3575353d ago

They could advertise it like it was a film. The trailers already have that feel.

Indigo Prophecy was a hellavu game. Anyone who doesnt think they understand Heavy Rain needs to play that game

TheWretched5353d ago

I really liked it too (played it on the PC back in the day). Need to replay it, before Heavy Rain is released.

Hellsvacancy5353d ago

Youll enjoy Heavy Rain more not playin Fahrenheit then wot u would if u did - i kinda know wot 2 expect fom Heavy Rain but others who r new 2 that sort of game will b completely amazed - itll only b the narrow minded people that wont enjoy Heavy Rain

Blaze9295353d ago

Hmm..I see what you're saying. Skipping out on Fahrenheight will make the new experience alot better? True true...either alot better or make it hella confusing.

Hellsvacancy5353d ago (Edited 5353d ago )

Yeah but id never played a game like Fahrenheit b4 most of the games id ever played up and till then where just plain old run and gun sorta games

Fahrenheit REALLY made me feel like *fu<k yeah im in control* it had a real cinematic feel and it had a great soundtrack

I havnt had that wid many games this gen

Blaze9295353d ago

Yeah exactly. That experience QuanticDream makes is just unparalleled by any other. Heavy Rain will sure be a beast I mean that tech demo with the girl with the terrible lip syncing (lol) was just amazing. It wasnt even the real game nor will it make it to the final game and when I heard that I was like NOOOOO, that tech demo's story was just so gripping I wanted to play it so bad. THATS talent.

Hellsvacancy5353d ago (Edited 5353d ago )

Its not just that - u can REALLY c the effort Quantic is puttin in2 Heavy Rain and its THAT sorta developin we gamers need more of

I was sold soon as i heard QuanticDream were makin another title

Well this kinda diminishes the value of the limited run games version a bit no? Oh well.

They're getting a bit crazy with these rereleases lol. Ive already bought this on PC back in the day, PC remastered, PS2, android, PS4 digital, and PS4 physical (collectors set from limited run games). This is getting absurd tbh

iwin861206d ago

No disrespect but you're part of the "problem".

Amplitude1205d ago (Edited 1205d ago )

yeah i mean youre not wrong

That collector mentality always gets me

CrimsonWing691206d ago (Edited 1206d ago )

So, wait, this is different than the one released on PS4?

Or is the same game but just different packaging to commemorate the 15th anniversary?

Mulando1206d ago

Ah... well, it was a good game in the first part of the Story, but in the end the story just doesn't make any sense and is really bad. I don't think that game should be remastered without a whole rework of the second half of the game (or the last quarter).
