Since Wind Waker's artistic take, the Zelda series has been dubbed "stagnant" in terms of innovation. The first Wii incarnation, Twilight Princess, although including the ability to transform into a wolf centered more on story and character development instead of the action and adventure that previous Zelda games had enriched themselves in.
With a new Zelda announced at E3 this year, many have high hopes for what the next iteration will bring. What would you change in the Zelda series, if anything? What would you improve, add, or remove? Or, does the series need any changing at all?
Tears of the Kingdom may be about to become everyone's new favorite, but there's one DS game that deserves more shine.
TheGamer Writes "In my experience, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess’ once-warm reception has chilled somewhat over the years. Praised at launch as a beautiful return to form after the “childish” art style of its direct predecessor, the world eagerly embraced a game that more closely followed Ocarina of Time’s famous structure and plot cues. Perhaps most alluringly of all, the grandeur and sheer scope of this reimagined Hyrule Field wowed millions of us."
The best Legend of Zelda games experiment and tackle new grounds for the industry. These are the essential titles in the series you need to play.
I am a huge Zelda fan and love them all, but for me Ocarina Of Time is the greatest and my second all time favourite game after Final Fantasy VII.
Oh gee can't imagine what Number 1 is
....
A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker etc is better than Breath of the Wild.
Majora's Mask still holds as my favorite to this day, despite being the black sheep of the series.
I love them all, but Wind Walker, Link to the Past and Minish Cap are my favorites
I would keep the same great formula but adding a deeper story and a little bit of personality to Link. That guy is as lame as Master Chief. =|
ZELDA TP was kinda awesome but completely ruined with the cliché of the light and dark world where Link transforms into a wolf; it was a drag just like in "Metroid Prime 2". What fans want is a more straight forward experience just like "Ocarina of Time" but with a more in-depth story and personality for Link. The idea of traveling in time was just... What would be the word for something that was amazingly executed? It never was drag going back in time like it was Link turning into a fuking crappy wolf or whatever.
BTW Zelda Wind Waker was as amazing as Ocarina of Time so, I still have faith that Nintendo will create another amazing Zelda game and leave behind the crapyness that was ZELDA TP.

You see that? That's an example of a really overrated game, just like Halo 3. Most of those reviewers must be on crack or they were fanatics that wanted to simply ignore the truth. Yes, ZELDA TP was crap, it was boring, it is one of the worst Zelda game of all times.
take everything heavenly sword did amazing graphics, amazing voice acting, make it more cinematic and a story that is deeper then the usual save the prince i would set it during the hyrule civil war that way you could large battles like lord of the rings add all this with legend of zelda controls
i'd like to see the windwaker art style but for once in the basic hyrule world and expand exponentially. I want at least 5 new tools / weapons if not more. Tougher puzzles and endless exploration. That would be my perfect LOZ title.
I would port it to the 360.
