Ratchet's Rocket: A Crack in Time's New Space Gameplay

PS Blog writes, "One of our huge focus points on Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time has been exploration and replay value. This focus is highlighted by our space exploration gameplay, which allows you to fly Ratchet's ship between the planets in the game – while landing on spherical moons and completing side quests. We put together this video with Creative Director Brian Allgeier that will give you a first look at the new space gameplay."

Dude, I love Ratchet with a passion. Insomniac should just stop making Resistance games and put all their resources to platformers. Thats what made them as big as they are today. Spyro FTW!

Cajun Chicken5783d ago

I half agree with you, but personally, Resistance 1 was a brilliant game. Although, I can see Ratchet is what Insomniac really care about the most.

MerkinMax5783d ago

I really hope they have commercials like those for the PS2 versions. They were hilarious!

callahan095783d ago

Hey, is that Earth I see at about 2:30? Cool.

RememberThe3575783d ago

Resistance 1 pissed my off. It was a combination of the health system and the horrid check points. Besides Resistance: Retribution was the best of the series.

Back the Ratchet though. I can't wait for this titles either. The graphics are amazing and the game just looks bigger and better the it's older brothers.

Did Ratchet and Clank just turn into an almost "open world" action rpg?
This sounds great, the game was falling off my radar till I watched the 2 new trailers on the PS store and now this short description of what else has been added. They've really upgraded this game in all aspects, I hope I have enough time to fully explore it.

pain777pas5783d ago

Resistance is a good series but I think they should close that trilogy and find a character that they can exploit their Ratchet side and their Nathan Hale side. Its gonna be hard but who else could pull it off but Insomniac. Really interested in this game now.

mal_tez925783d ago

Resistance I still kind of liked but shooting just feels kind of,
childish, kind of like in Halo. I'm, just not a fan of shooting slow-moving, low damage, glowing things at each other.

The co-op in R2 is still unmatched though.

This is going to an phenomenal sequel! Can't wait! Ratchet goes Freelancer and Mass Effect lite? Count me in!

xabmol5783d ago

Those lil planets where awesome. Now we get to explore around out in space to find a bunch. This game is lookin so good!!

They better put an option for inverted controls for the ship flying and aiming this time though. That really took the fun outa the flying segments from ToD. I needs my inverted.

"Pirate Radio" LOL

Is it October yet? >.<
