PSi writes: "Things like sprite-based, 2D graphics and colors may be lost on the current visual landscape, but Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy places both front and center. Both the characters and environments have a decidedly anime feel. This may turn off some players, but the game manages to do "anime" without the over-the-top annoyances and "cute" that usually accompanies the style. Instead, the style offers a lush, colorful world and creative characters. These aren't your grim, silent swordsmen with leather fetishes and armor but fun, visually distinct characters that stand out."
Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky will include a code to download Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy as a first print bonus.
More than certain that Sony will use their cloud service for BC, so would very much like to see games like this on it as well as the current PSN.
Gust will re-release Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy as a downloadable PS2 Classic in Japan.
VGC writes: "Gust is not your average JRPG developer. While most JRPG's attempt to make epic stories that have you saving the world and learning important life lessons along the way Gust is much happier making cute silly little stories with just a touch of raunchy humor. The first Gust game I reviewed was Ar Tonelico 2, which was a great game except for an unfortunate localization job and extremely dated visuals that brought the title down to being average overall. Has Mana Khemia 2 faired any better?"
